Western Inn - Motel in Hamilton - 1208 S Rice St, USA

We stayed there for 11 days for a glider competition. Our room was clean & quite, beds comfortable, air conditioning worked well. The maid cleaned our room nicely everyday. The pool was also clean and very relaxing at the end of a long hot day. It is a smaller roadside hotel but for us it was the perfect place to stay in Hamilton. Also the Mexican restaurant next door is excellent with a nice happy hour.

Very run down, sink barely hanging on the wall. TV didn't work. Dresser missing a drawer.. Needs a renovation badly. Seemed to be as clean as it could be. Perk-the water pressure from the barely holding on shower head was phenomenal!

I had read the reviews prior to booking but I had to have a place to stay... so I booked. The lobby is filled with partially dead plants ... I suspect they are succumbing to the smell of moth balls. I dealt with both owners-appears to be a husband and wife. They are very nice and friendly. The room... early garage sale style. The bed mattress and pillows were comfortable. They appeared new. Sheets were fine and appeared clean. The bathroom was in need of a great scrubbing. A smell of urine was noted in the bathroom. The shower had a black type substance growing on the wall. Everything in the room was beat up and sad. A good scrubbing and painting would do the room some good. That said... It was 50.00 bucks a night. I didn't have great expectations. Clean doesn't cost much just time.

I was little surprised by the one star average review. It is a bit older establishment. It served every purpose I needed. Food and beer next door, a clean room and a hot shower. I felt safe and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. I have been on a motorcycle journey and this so far has been my favorite mom&pop place. You can't beat the price I would absolutely stay here again if I needed Cheers

I really only stayed here because I had to. I was in the middle of a snow storm on a Friday night and the roads were quite treacherous. Paid $49.99 for the 1 night stay (too much if you ask me). Signs said that it was newly renovated. Only room available was smoking (who still has smoking rooms?). I took it anyway. It was a king size bed with cigarette burns in the coverlet. I expected that. There was no shade on the light fixture, just a bare bulb. The shades were bent on the lamps. It did have a decent flat screen TV with satellite. There was also free WiFi but the signal wasn't too strong. None of the furniture matched. Bathroom was ok but it has no heat. Stand up shower with mildew stains. Took about 10 minutes to get hot water. There is also a mini fridge and microwave. I think they missed this room during the renovation. It did reek of cigarettes but that was to be expected since it was a smoking room. There was also an empty cigarette pack in one of the nightstands. Didn't see any bugs. I would not stay here again unless I'm trapped in another snow storm.

This motel has a few updates, like the flat screen TV on the wall and Dish network, and it was clean. If your expectations aren't too high, it is sufficient for a brief visit. No fitted sheets means the bottom sheet is a mess within minutes of use, and the bed was pretty hard. Our sink drained very slowly. The towels were stained, frayed, thin, and not very absorbent. The wall heater in the bathroom does not work. The refrigerator freezer was frozen completely over and in need of defrosting. The exterior of it was hot to touch and the interior barely kept anything cold. The AC/heater was difficult to regulate. For the price, it is just OK.

This is an older, no frills one story, hotel. It actually brought back memories from growing up. It has the old style heater in the wall in the bathroom with a small sink and tiny tile shower. There was not a hair dryer, but there was an iron. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a pool too. Check in was fast and easy. I will stay here every time I need a room in the area. Price was only $54.

Working in the area for a week, needed a place to stay. Looked ok, staff was alright, paid $300 for a King room for the week. The office said they'd bring clean towels every day & clean the room every other day. They did not change the sheets the entire week we were there, but they did being towels every day & make the bed once. The parking lot was quiet. But the room, bathroom & pool were very dirty. No outlet in the bathroom, broken lamps, bed was hard as a rock & there were holes in the shower/tub & bathroom ceiling. Sadly, we heard this was the best motel in Hamilton besides Circle T & they didn't offer a weekly rate. Oh and on the last night of our stay, I opened the mini fridge & a roach ran out! Time to go! Hope none got into our luggage!!!
