The people who work here are so rude! They never smile, don't make eye contact, don't speak to you unless they are taking your money. They are disrespectful. I saw a delivery person come in...one of the ones who pick up food for other people. They saw him, but didn't speak to him, never looked at him again...basically ignored him for at least 10-15 minutes. Finally they handed him his food, didn't look at him or say anything...walked away. that's how they treat the customers too. I have gone there twice. Gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but after my second experience, will not be going back as well as recommend to my friends no to go back either. Why support an establishment that treats their customers with such disdain. AND they charge $15-20 for A BAGEL

My experience here was based on management and a staff member named "Lola". My patronage has been 10 months now. The employee is described later middle aged with curly brown hair mixed dyed blond hair. Her actions tells the story. She has consistently not wrapped the bagel in the bag and falls out. She makes sure the bag she puts it is not fully open but still folded on bottom. I guess she let's out her frustration on some customers and others with smile and delight by wrapping food according to company policy. I thought I talk to a manager while in the store. She answered with a little confusion that she is one of the managers. Her description, in her 20's with fair complexion and height around 5 feet or less. She then goes to her and tells her that she "loves" her for everyone to hear. This was not the professional outcome I expected. Reviewers been saying that management been looking the other way when it comes to complaints about the staff. Attention to customers: The wait time is too long if you see the staff ratio and poor service with certain staffers but some are really nice people.

Service slow. Bagels small. Atmosphere depressing. Everyone seems miserable. Once I walked in the door, I felt miserable too.

I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese online and it said it would take 15 minutes. It took 45 minutes as they made orders for everyone that came in and waited in line. They were pretty rude when I enquired about my order.

Bagels are good. A little pricey. I wish they would keep it cleaned in there, I would go more often.

Great place. I have been going there and the Sepulveda store for over 60 years. Good service. Same employees for years.

Best bagels in Thousand Oaks. The staff are helpful and provide speedy service. Whether it’s making a bagel breakfast sandwich or grabbing a bakers dozen, they’re on top of it. Weekend mornings are busy so be prepared to wait in line but it goes pretty quick.

I have so much kind words to say about Western Bagel. My first job in 1980. I learned so much. I made their first metal bagel funnel in high school metal shop. It's been decades but I owe so much to the manager and the owners who teached me about life. Great family owned business. I miss them.
