westdrift Manhattan Beach, Autograph Collection - Hotel in Manhattan Beach - 1400 Parkview Ave, USA

Hotel is located in a business area, close to the airport and the access to the main highways. It features a lovely par 3 golf course.|Lobby, restaurant, bar is all one open space, with some nice decor, which is fine.|Rooms are standard, due to the lack of proper ceiling lamp, a bit dim. Bathroom was disgusting, old and small. No shower cabin but only a tub with a filthy shower curtain, ours still had hair on it - yuck..|There is a good gym and a water filling station, which is great.||The worst part was the food ..|My tea in the lobby was served in a paper cup with plastic lid! |We ordered food to the room. A pasta main course for 23 USD (excl. tax) was less than a kids mean and came in a plastic dish! Absolutely unacceptable! |I would have thought, that a leading hotel chain as Marriott, would be more environmental friendly! |We asked the manager and he said, they never had any complains about the plastic waist and this was the standard in US hotels . There was no apology or anything else, except blatant ignorance. . Therefore I must say, the Westdrift Manhattan Beach is the worst Autograph Collection hotel I have ever stayed in and I suggest to stay in a nicer place! |PS. Rafael at the front desk was so kind to help me locate my Iwatch that I had left in another room. While he had security search a different room (I had the night before), he made sure I had a free fresh cup of coffee, while I waited anxiously. Low & behold, the watch was found. Rafael was kind and amazing, as well the security man on the shift on the morning of Sep. 4th. Great hotel and staff. Lovely views as well. --|Wendy B.

I stayed at the Westdrift for four nights to attend a conference. It's a nice modern upscale hotel with a hip LA vibe. The hotel is a quick 15 minute ride from LAX. The lobby is open and comfortable, and check-in was a breeze. The rooms are quite comfortable with a modern aesthetic. Conference facilities are top notch. The area is somewhat walk-able with a shopping mall next door as well as a good number of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is a short drive to the beach. All in all, the Westdrift made for a great conference experience in sunny Manhattan Beach.

Nice location and a great place to spend a quiet weekend. The did charge us an additional $100 after we checked out for no reason, they just increased the room rate by $100, kind of slimy move. + Very clean hotel. + Very well staffed, which isn’t common. + Central to many shops and restaurants. + Staff was helpful, polite and responsive. Pretty standard room for LA. - They charges us an additional $100 for the room rate with no explanation. - Check your billing as some locations have employees that do things like add to your bill to generate more profit in the hopes you don’t check your bank statement. - AC wasn’t very cold - Balcony door was hard to open - No Netflix / Prime / Internet TV - An older location trying to hold onto its former glory.

Amazing service from Evelyn (PM Server)! She went out of her way to make my stay perfect! She helped me several nights in a row, and made suggestions for delicious food on the menu. She informed me about breakfast, so I could grab a coffee & a muffin prior to leaving at 6:45 a.m. She brings a true positive energy to her job and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and at home. I am an ambassador Marriott member and travel throughout the US for work, she is an exceptional person and Marriott is lucky to have her.

Beautiful hotel. Would be an amazing place for a wedding. Great lobby sweeping golf course views. Good parking or valet. Used resort pass to get a "cabana" which was basically 2 chairs under a 3 sided tent with roof slats. Water from pool/kids made floor a mess combined with leaves from overhead trees. Duck, egret, and a squirrel visited which was cute, since there's a lake in view. Food/drink service was painfully slow. Not the waitresses fault it was one girl for entire pool. They didn't have enough table space since you couldn't put your stuff on the ground due to swampy mess from pool. Too many kids for a relaxing day for a couple at pool, and the greenskeepers were weed whacking at 2pm on a Saturday which was unpleasant to hear. So we didn't actually go in pool too much splashing and screaming.. pickleball courts were great.

It’s a nice clean and upscale hotel, but you get clipped with some extra charges that are a bit harsh. Self parking is $43 a night, and valet is over $50/night. They add an auto $30/day fee that is not avoidable but you can use it for drinks/food etc. its use it or lose it. |The lobby bar is nice and the bartenders are very friendly. They had other nice amenities, bikes/fire-pits/fitness etc but we never used them!|VictorB

Bon emplacement sur le golf. Mais le service est très moyen. Attention au valet parking très cher et pas très utile!!! Personne pour porter tes bagages et le lobby est très bruyant. Beaucoup de séminaires. La Chambre ok mais télé un peu vielle et tous les contenus payants! Salle de bain horrible!! Douche cassée et très petite pas de wc séparé!!
