Liked: I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Parked the RV on a nice flat concrete pad with full hook ups.we had a nice campfire and a pleasant night. The bathhouse was the most surprising. It was very clean, well appointed with very nice showers equipped with rain shower heads. Nice sinks and toilets and I think the floor was even heated. All at a great price. I would definitely stay there again. Disliked: Nothing I encountered was negative

Liked: Clean and modern bathrooms with showers. (Okay- the bottom of the shower curtains were starting to get a little moldy) This is the first time we have had a campground with luxury lighted mirrors! We loved the fact that it was not crowded and the close proximity to New River Gorge National Park! We stayed in an RV site, but the cabins look cute, too! Wished it was warmer weather, we sure would have liked to do a rafting trip!

Everyone from the bus driver, to the guides, to the videographer were amazing! This was our first white water trip ever and we felt confident going on the water with this team. The trip was so much fun, lunch was delicious and we are going home with amazing memories. We will be back for other trips they do! The camping was also awesome. Quite, the cleanest bath house and right on site of trip pickup. Thank you guys so much! Highly recommend

We just went rafting today and had an excellent experience. Crock was our guide aka ‘captain’ and we loved our experience. He asked what type of ride we wanted, humor, etc. basically, just got a feel for our group and I appreciated that. He guided us perfectly down the river in an incredibly fun way. He was very knowledgeable about the river, history, geographical features, etc. if we come back, we will request him again.

A group of friends and rafted this past Saturday, (October 14). We could not had a better guide or had a better experience. It was phenomenal and we had a blast! Crock was an excellent guide, and he was hilarious and kept us entertained. Keegan (our safety kayaker) was also superb. The other staff were accommodating and extremely helpful. Definitely a five star excursion!

Absolutely recommend West Virginia Adventures!! This was our second time rafting with them; we would definitely return to West Virginia Adventures. They are incredible, knowledgeable, entertaining, and extremely personable. This small outfitter made our big outdoor experience amazing and so personalized. Tristan was our guide both times. He gave the best descriptions for what to anticipate, what we were seeing, how to navigate, and the history of the area. He answered all our questions, and he was so so so good with our kids. Thank you, Tristan! You are unique and talented in so many ways! We all had such a blast BOTH times rafting with West Virginia Adventures!

Best rafting trip ever!!! This was me and much of my family’s first rafting trip, we did the upper new river express trip. Incredible! We saw harens, a deer, and even a bald eagle! Rapids were 1 through 3 and they were just right for beginners like us! Our guide Alison was just the best! She had many interesting stories and laughed along with us. Most importantly she kept us safe the whole way and was great at guiding us, even in the rain! Which only added to the experience! My favorite parts of the trip were swimming and getting splashed by the rapids. I was in the front with my dad so I did get splashed a lot😅 To add to the friendly nature of our guide and staff the whole crew came to help my sister get her car keys from the trunk, which were locked in! Go with West Virginia Adventures! They are simply the best and I cannot recommend them enough!😁

I’ve rafted the Gauley and the Ocoee several times and have worked with various companies in the past. This outfitter was great from start to finish and one of the best. Communication was easy and just frequent enough, directions were easy to follow, pricing was more than fair, trip descriptions were accurate, equipment was in good shape, bus driver Terry was incredibly nice, guide Crock was hilarious and very knowledgeable about the history of the river, and the entire staff was so polite. Convenient bathhouse on the premises and the location of the business itself is ideal. Great “small” business to support! Would absolutely use again.
