West Side Tavern - Gastropub in Longmont - 1283 3rd Ave, USA

My husband and I went here after a quick Google search of places less than thirty minutes away and an even quicker scan of their menu. Once we arrived, the entire place was full, and we didn't have a reservation. The hostess meekly offered us seats at their heated tiki bar. There was one other couple there and they warmly welcomed us to the bar, which was delightfully warm and secluded enough to really take in the experience. Another couple joined us soon after. All of us reveled in the well-crafted cocktails, lively conversation and delicious selections of their menu. After our initial round of cocktails, my husband and I chose to let the kitchen select our meals for us, which consisted of their light and tasty crab avocado, duck confit and rack of lamb. All amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our outing and we'll definitely be back. Maybe we'll even call ahead next time!

Le choix de cocktails, préparés avec charme par la/le barman sous vous yeux (mon coup de cœur : Sierra), est un moment magique. N’hésitez pas à vous installer au bar pour déguster votre plat ou cocktail. Le petit plus du lieu : des tentes, chauffées en hiver, isolées qui vous permettent de prendre votre repas en toute intimité. Je donne un 10/10 !!!!

West Side Tavern was an excellent experience. Their dish selections are remarkable and quite varied. Wonderful flavours and combinations. We ate outside in a heated pergola and it was very comfortable and intimate. We had 2 young children with 4 adults. They enjoyed the change in ambiance and being alone. Now the cost was high but worth whole package. We will come back again come spring or summer. This is a restaurant you should experience - you will not be disappointed.

It was my first time eating dinner here. I had heard great things about the tavern, but was really disappointed. The beet salad was void of much flavor and was mostly greens. The goat cheese dressing did not add much flavor and it would have been better if they had just added ghost cheese. We also had a chicken dish. The chicken was tender and moist, but the veggies and mushrooms that were served on top were in a very salty sauce. I was not impressed. The hot mule cider was like warm and cost $12. That was the cheapest drink and definitely not worth the money. The food is way over-priced and not memorable in a good way.

Such a sweet place! Our party of 8 sat outside in a cabana. It was all just so comfortable and friendly. The food was all very good...we cleaned our plates! I look forward to more special outings there!

My wife and I showed up on a whim on a Saturday evening, having no idea of how small the space is or the necessity of reservations. The staff shyly offered us a spot at their heated tiki bar, and man, am I glad we did that! It was a very chilly day, but with all the heaters and a heated surfboard for a table, we were cozy. The staff is just great, we elected to have the chef select our appetizer and meals, that was a superb idea. My lamb was extremely well cooked, tender and flavorful. My wife's duck was just as tasty and satisfying. We were lucky enough to have two other couples sit with us, a testament to how much people want to come here. Really nice night, we will be back!

It's a great local pub vibe with more than the usual pub food and drinks. Food is upscale with both small and large plates to sample. Something for everyone on a moderate-sized menu. Great cocktail options, wine and 4 or 5 beers on tap. Definitely worth a try!

The eclectic ambience of this tavern was wonderful for our group of 7. We were treated very well, like we were regulars, even though this was our first time in the tavern. All of the tastes, in our group of 7, were catered to excellently. They had one of my favorite beers, which is almost always out of can, on tap which made me a happy camper. They also didn't rush us out the door when we finished eating. They let us enjoy ourselves and the show on the tv which was produced by the owner. Just a lovely time all around.
