The Flannel fest was really nice. Me and my wife attended last year and this year was just as nice. With more food trucks and vendors. Live band and more. Hope the Champaign park district continues to do more of these events year round for the community.
I grew up in Champaign and went to Central High nearby so I'm very familiar with this park. Took photos with my family at the fountain, great spot!
The playground is new and looked amazing (and also interactive for all).
Great place to being the kids. They are always happy to come to thus park. It's also nice that they have a fence up around the children's playground that way it makes it easier to keep track of your children. I most certainly recommend this park to everyone.
Valid park, 10/10 playground and unique facilities, statues are cool too. Ground of playground is EPDM (rubber basically) and everything exposed is plastic and there is a fence around it so your kid is pretty protected here.
Huge patches of snow for making a snowman in the winter too
Very nice cute park.
Great place for a picnic. Not many people which is great.
There's always potential for improvement. While this park is spacious, there isn't anything particularly remarkable that catches the eye. However, I did take a moment to admire the fountain. We sat on a bench for around 20 minutes, observing people engaged in various activities such as playing frisbee, swinging, or relaxing on blankets in the grass while reading. This park might be a suitable choice for hosting large events that require ample space.
Love West Side. It’s my favorite place to take a lunch outside. DO NOT GO IN THE GAZEBO!! Just trust me. It is lit up like the crack of dawn at the slightest hint of sundown.

This is such a sweet neighborhood park. There's a walking trail around it, an excellent hill for sledding or rolling, soccer fields, and tennis courts. The playground is small but has lots of fun features, including a spot for smaller kids. My kids
Plain Jane but nice little skatepark. Geared towards skaters, but great for practicing basic BMX skills. Features include: small quarter, flat rail, hand rail, small gap, stairs, ledges, hubba, banks.
I havenât seen such a high-quality prairie since my summer at a nature preserve. I am absolutely in love with this park! There were tons of wildflowers, grasses, and unique bird species. Thereâs also a huge park for the kiddos. Whoeverâs takin
Great place to relax, plenty of parking. It's a nice little lake right in the city. The 0.8 mile path around the lake is especially nice to walk, jog, or bike.
Great for the kiddos and the doggos also the walkers, joggers/runners will enjoy the excellent sidewalks. Nice play area for the children
Some options for sports too
Well maintained
ENJOY
Granddaughters loved the variety of the playground equipment. The splash pad was also a huge hit.
Park is lovely, very large, and has a lot to offer for all ages.
This is a very clean and nice park. We enjoyed watching the Cross Country team run at the Sectional Meet today at Dodds Park. They have nice indoor bathrooms located in several different sections of the park.
