We went for brunch. We were pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was, and the kitchen did a solid job on the food. We had a big group of 7 that was half teenagers and half adults. Everyone raved about the food. Highly recommend and we will be back.

I was close to 5 stars but just couldn’t bare it. Good food and service, very attentive until the end. Entrees and drinks were delicious. Decided to treat ourselves to dessert then it went downhill. Not the best for dessert so stick to entrees. Appetizers can be a little bit more but still delicious. Took a long time to get the check. It’s more of giving yourself a treat rather than going out often here. Still worth the service.

Recently enjoyed a business dinner here. Nice place with great service. Photo is the lamb t bone dish. Some of us felt the food was over seasoned but still tasty. Those that ordered fish noted that it was slightly overcooked.

West Park Bistro (WPB) carefully straddles the line between upscale date spot and local family classy dine out. The food is presented in a high-end manner but they all stimulate the taste buds in an honest and straightforward way. The visuals might look extravagant but it really comes down to good ingredients cooked well. The chef certainly aspires high and for the most part, he/she gets the job done. The pastas are hearty, the meatballs are familar yet rich, and the salad is just adequately eventful. WPB can choose to go either way. If they want more families, all they need to do is grow the portions so that they can be better shared across the table. If they want to go for date-night, throw in a bit more salt and flavor and build out an intentional prix fixe course. Either direction they go, we are happy that WPB is in San Carlos and will be returning.

Came in here for dinner on a Wednesday night and I'd made reservations for inside but when we got there they said there was no inside seating so we had to sit outside which was pretty chilly. The surfacing to be a little slow given the party that was happening inside the food was good. The scallops had a kind of bad taste to them and the risotto was under seasoned. We had gotten the fries and the burger the fries seemed cold. The crust on the key lime pie also had oregano in it which was very off-putting. I feel like if they're going to make it a savory crust maybe they should mention that.

"Happy Hour" is advertised as 4:30pm - 6:30pm. What they don't tell you is that you have to ask for a drink that it actually applies to, otherwise they will charge you full price. The bar staff don't offer anything it might apply to either. Over-priced and no atmosphere. There are better places in the street where they do what they advertise.

I have lived in the peninsula for a long time but then moved to city. But came down to San Carlos to meet up w some friends and haven’t actually been to West Park Bistro before. I always like to try new places and my friend ls brought me here for so type of Private Venue they had booked. HAND DOWN BEST MUSSELS EVER. Flat iron mussels were one of a kind it was so special, we did mostly appetizers and drink, they have a great cocktails as well as their food! Give it a shot.

For my friends birthday party we went to west park bistro for brunch. Food was great, atmosphere was awesome. I enjoyed the burger with some red wine. I will definitely come back to try out more of the menu. They also have an excellent wine selection.
