Nice place to eat for on campus students with a variety of options.
Had lunch here during a campus visit. The Southwest Chicken Salad was filling and yummy! My daughter ordered from a different area (the grill?) and had 1/4 chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, and cornbread. It was also very good and plentiful (she didn't finish everything) and the cornbread was so good she didn't even bother to put butter on it. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Kudos to VT for having great dining options.
I can't believe I am rating the dining facility at Virginia Tech but they live up to the hype of one of the best in the nation. Literally, the quality and variety of a cruise ship. Friendly and plentiful staff. Lucky students!
I have never had a bad experience in this dining center. I take all of my visitors to West End. The only negative thing I have to say is that it's pretty expensive if you don't use a hokie passport- but that tends to be a theme around campus.
Decent food overall, plenty of options to choose from during brunch hours
Our family was there for Hokie Focus day. It was quite crowded. I assume it will not be so on normal school days. They are not set up to take cash at all which is a problem for days like this. But, the food was good.
West End has decent food but all too often the extremely long wait around dinner makes it hard to go there often. Also, without a VT dining plan the prices are quite steep
