I am a small business owner in the FM area, running a small IT company. When I joined the Moorhead Business Association, I was advised to reach out to the SBDC. Initially, I didn't take the advice, and I wish I had. Eventually, I decided to call them as I was trying to navigate some business obstacles and wasn't sure what options and resources were available to me. When I finally called, I spoke to someone who asked me a few questions to determine how they could best help me. I was slightly skeptical about receiving "free" business advice, especially from someone who doesn't run and operate a business. I was shocked to learn that at the SBDC here in Moorhead, MN, the people they connect us with are business owners. I had the pleasure and honor of being connected with Conrad. He is knowledgeable, and one of his superpowers is his no-nonsense, direct way of saying things. It was exactly what I needed to hear. He also provided me with some insights and tools. One of the tools is an app that tracks my time. As an entrepreneur, I need to be very intentional with my time. I knew that, but it was one of those easier-said-than-done things. I was missing the tool and the data! He helped me prioritize my strategy and focus on the mission-critical tasks. I am impressed; this "free" service is worth a few good bars of gold. Thank you, SBDC. I am not yet at my destination and have not achieved my goals, but I am on the correct path now.

Bob and Amy were great at the Moorhead office. Knowledgeable, professional and willing to help. So many resources, will be back to take advantage all their information.

A hidden gem for every community, the SBDC is an amazing institution. I have simply never encountered a more earnest, useful set of professionals who simply want to see small-businesses succeed, than I have at WC MN SBDC. If I could give them 6 stars, I'd lobby to be able to give 7. 8/5. Strong recommend to ANY business owner. Give them a call!
