West 122 - Restaurant in Tacoma - 728 Pacific Ave Suite B, USA

We’ve heard good things about West 122, the new fine dining restaurant on Pacific and we were not disappointed. It is a very attractive restaurant with a romantic vibe. We immediately felt warm and invited. Service was outstanding. We split a House Caesar and enjoyed it very much. Caesars can often be overdressed. But this one was perfect. Someone had attended to the details - the plates were cold, the lettuce was chilled and cold, the cheese freshly shaved. With a simple dish like a Caesar, small details can make or break it. We both had the Roast Chicken in Apple Cider Jus and again it was perfect. Chicken was seasoned well and cooked beautifully while the pan sauce just was delicious. I found myself wanting to lick the plate. We will definitely go back. It was surprisingly empty when we visited. Maybe because it was early on a Tuesday night but I hope more people visit because this place deserves to stick around. Be aware that the restaurant places an automatic service charge on the bill before you go.

It was a nice romantic dinner and the food was amazing. This definitely is a hidden gem in Tacoma! We had the Pork Chop and Chicken and these are a must! Perfect date night out.

Brand new spot in downtown Tacoma, absolutely perfect. A beautifully comfortable atmosphere before you even take a look at the menu. Drinks and dining, this place is absolutely top notch. Tacoma is lucky to have it, our new Fav spot for date nights and friend nights.

Bravo Tacoma! With ample seating options, friendly and well trained staff to start with, your experience as a customer is only brightened by the libations which are fresh and well curated. The experience is rounded out by a small but carefully curated menu with rotation based on seasonality and market. Typically I wait until having dined several times before reviewing but I felt it necessary to share the word about this wonderful new restaurant. I'm a (very) picky about my halibut and king salmon being Alaskan grown but my partner and I got both dishes and I couldn't be more wowed. Not only were both filets cut, seasoned and cooked to perfection with pan crust to die for, they were dressed with just the right amount of accompaniment (love that lemon brown rice) and garnish. My partner noted that it was the best salmon tartar he's ever had the waffle chips are a work of art, albeit a little too delicate for the dish they are best when you use a fork to scoop the weight of the avocado and salmon onto the chip in small amounts. We left satisfied and excited to return!

I’m glad we checked this place out! The happy hour menu has plenty of food and drinks to share. I tried the “bartenders choice” option and it did not disappoint - it was like tequila espresso martini.

A great downtown Tacoma stop. We nibbled our way through a shared entree of zoodles and san marzano marinara and a couple appetizers on a wet winter's evening with great delight and wonderful service and would do so again.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place trying to kill time before a show. Had no idea it existed! The ambience is deep, warm and comfortable with lots of lacquered wood, white washed brick and impeccable lighting. It feels like dining in a chic but casual wine cellar. The menu is precise and streamlined, simple Italian fusion but the descriptions don’t do the dishes justice. There are little touches on every plate that really elevate them, the flavors are bold and well balanced. The service was great, very knowledgeable and well versed. Got some fantastic suggestions and had an overall wonderful experience. I hope this place is too busy for me to walk into without a reservation next time. Don’t sleep on West 122, Tacoma! We will be back!
