Wesley & Rose Lobby Bar - Restaurant in Buena Vista - 1012 Front Loop #1, USA

As always, service comment first. Although the place got taken over by a wedding during the later part of our visit, Alicia was a great bartender and helped make our experience better. Shout out to her for being great to us, although the other staff members who chipped in were solid also. As far as atmosphere, it is a spacious bar with great energy in a really cool offshoot of downtown Buena Vista. As far as drinks, they have a bunch of creative cocktails on the menu. I had the Smoke on the Mountain and it was tasty. As far as food, I had the poutine and wife had the gnocchi. Pic below is the poutine. Both were solid in taste. Mine lacked a little cheese curds I felt, and her gnocchi was sort of overwhelmed by the stuff on top. But, pretty good regardless. I definitely recommend visiting, and I can't say see you there (my accidental tagline apparently) because I live in Denver. But you should GO. Rounded down 4, but definitely recommend.

This is a very impressive dining experience. The food preparation is outstanding, our waitress knocked it out of the park, and the atmosphere is perfect. You must start with the calamari and don't forget the Carrot cake. So good. We will definitely be back every time we are in BV.

This place has a cool vibe with some unique mixed drinks. Their Sunday brunch menu is quite limited, so don't expect to deviate from anything off their regular drink or dining menu. I came with 2 other people and we ordered at the same time. We received one meal at a time so we could watch one by one eat. I ordered a burger that never came. The unattentive waitress never cared to ask even after asking about my meal... watched everyone around me eat...... ✌️

A five-star experience tucked away in a small town. It was beautiful, delicious, and relaxing. I highly recommend the margarita. We ordered a pasta dish as well as a Pizza to share. And of course we had to order the truffle fries. There’s a back room for seating, that’s dark and moody, while in the front there’s couches next to fireplace. It’s the perfect spot for date night. So intimate and romantic.

We had high hopes for this spot, which left us a little disappointed. It could have been partly because of our food choices. We shared the baked cheese skillet with fresh bread as an appetizer and that hit the spot. But then we got a pizza and a lasagna for mains - overall it was just too much cheese and grease on the table. There wasn’t much happening flavour wise because everything was drowned in melty cheese. It was too heavy to finish and we ended up with a lot of leftovers to pack. My friend who ordered the lamb with sweet potatoes and asparagus enjoyed her dish. The hot buttered rum cocktail was nice and the rest of the drink menu looked good. The servers were nice and seated us even though we got there with not much time before closing.

My husband and I went there for dinner last night, our servers Darian and Dakota were so wonderful they treated us like family, the whole atmosphere is welcoming and very laid back and the food was wonderful. Thank you Darian and Dakota for making us feel like family you guys are the best.

Of all the great, fun places to eat in BV, The Wesley & Rose at the Surf Hotel is the nicest/fanciest, while still maintaining a Colorado chill vibe and outstanding food! Steaks are juicy, cooked to perfection, Arctic Char special was better’n any we had in Iceland, extensive CO beers on draft, and varied wine list. Rian was our fun, knowledgeable and awesome server. Sean (chef) popped out of busy kitchen to check on folks’ meals…he needn’t worry, nor should you. Definitely worth a fancy splurge while enjoying BV.

Had an engagement dinner here with my fiancé and seven friends. Was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. Even got chambongs and tickets to a local concert as gifts. Thanks for the lovely evening! Felt like a very nice dinner you’d typically find in the big city.
