Wendy's - Fast food restaurant in New Castle - 140 N Dupont Hwy, USA

This location has good service and nice employees. It is usually busy. The food is consistent with Wendy's standards, which is great! I suggest the fountain drinks from this location. I also suggest the spicy nuggets or sandwich.

I've been homeless for about a week and have been coming in to charge my phone to check on things as needed and make phone calls as needed. I finally managed to scrounge up enough change for even just the frosty boo book and upon finding out they now have pumpkin spice frosty's I may have enjoyed four through out the day, in which they were kind enough to provide me a small instead of Jr. even if by accident. I was so grateful because I haven't been able to eat right for so long. They have been extremely welcoming and understanding, and my only warning when it comes to the pumpkin spice frosty is that the sugar and spice are extremely comforting but can dry your mouth out a little bit. Still extremely delicious, and I recommend them for all excited for pumpkin season. 🎃🥰🧡🌕

They are suppose to open at 6:30am but it's almost 7 now and they aren't open. So I called to see what time they open and they keep hanging up on me as soon as I ask their hours. They keep staring out the window as well so they know they have customers waiting. Just horrible customer service. Also they called the cops because when I got here I tried opening the door. The cops laughed about it as I was sitting at the bus stop talking to them. This was the New Castle DE location.

To my surprise it was delicious and fresh. Hubby loved his too, but just about anything pleases the old man.. lol

Stopped by today and ordered a couple of items that they did not get right. One thing that was ordered was nuggets with honey mustard sauce and instead they threw in sweet and sour sauce. Easy to fix, but minor annoyance. There was also a bacon jalapeno burger that was ordered that came without any jalapenos. When I went back to ask them for the jalapenos and then they told me they were out of them. Two items in two mistakes, doesn't earn a very good rating. Update June 11th 2023: ordered two burgers and they got them both right. Progress!

So I ordered online about 20 minutes ahead of Time so I can have it ready by the time I get there. We get to the drive thru window to pick up my order, they say it wasn’t made and I need to order on the kiosk even though I already ordered and paid online?? Makes no sense but okay. To make matters worse the man at the window ( he has a tattoo on his arm and a long ponytail) had a attitude while he was speaking to us and told us to get out of line and try again ( the line was wrapped around the store). He said these exact words “You can get back in my line and try again”. I called for a refund and they couldn’t give me that. Told me to wait three minutes and they’d bring my food to the door. I waited for fifteen minutes and no one came to the door and they’re not letting anyone in. The workers are inside hiding and ignoring people rather than helping people. Had to get back in line only for them to tell me to come back to the door and get my food. I got my food but it took an hour and twenty minutes. It SHOULD NOT have taken that long for any reason!

The restaurant layout results in a bottle neck near the door and order counter. Entire restaurant needs to be remodeled. Everything is old and worn out. The faux wood floors are very slippery. The bathroom is a total mess and not kept clean with a wet slippery floor. The food is what you would expect. The ambience is sorely lacking. Would definitely not go here again there are much better choices available.

I don't understand how u basically said 2 orders of chillies cheese fries and had the the worker confirm it only to still get cheese fries without the chille!!!! Why is it hard to understand what people ask for
