A nice, private type of beach that was nice views of the lake, clean and well kept beaches where beachgoers come to relax, enjoy and have some fun w/out all of the nonsense. They also have a good stand should you get hungry. You pay $15 to park and enjoy til 7 pm. Nice, cozy and ez to get to and from.
Have been going here for years, however the past few years there has been a major police presence. They're going through people's things and checking coolers. I'm a responsible adult and I don't appreciate being treated like some teenager. The beach is not free. If I wanted to be harassed I could go to any other free beach.
Nice beach, staff are pretty okay with the exception of the really really REALLY old dude with sass. Didn't take his rudeness too personally. I'd probably be just as rude if I did absolutely NOTHING with my life for 71 years and ended up working at a parking lot until I met my maker. But alas, clean beach, you're doing a great job being a garbage picker not so kind sir 👏👏
We frequent this beach several times throughout the summer. Great parking and QUICK access to the beach. And their cheeseburgers are excellent 👌👍
The best beach! I’ve been going here since I was a baby and my mom has been going here since she was in high school! It’s a family friendly lovely beach!
I love this beach!!. I've been coming here 30 years. Staff is friendly and very helpful. After a long day at the beach, I walked back to lot only to find out I had flat tire. They immediately helped me with an electric pump and found me the closest place to get my tire fixed. Another great thing I love about this beach is you don't have to walk a mile to actually get to the beach. Which is a big plus when you have 3 kids that complain about carrying stuff.

Best beach I have ever been to in Indiana. The beach is clean because there are no garbage cans you have to carry your trash back with you. No animals allowed, no alcohol allowed. No ghetto people either. $10 per car. Totally worth it, would absolutely go back to this beach time and time again. We found it on accident too! We took a wrong turn. Best wrong turn ever.

This was a LEGIT good time. $15/head for a couple hours of live comedy right down the road from my place? Yes, please.
Parking is not a problem and Lake street is probably the safest part of Gary. I will be back.

First time in this place, amazing band and delicious food (even if the menu has 3-5 dishes).
The vegetarian burrito made with green asparagus, mushrooms and cheese was outrageous but a bit greasy! The fries were crispy.
