Wedgewood Resort - Hotel in Fairbanks - 212 Wedgewood Dr, USA

So the rooms were very spacious but definitely a bit dated. They have baseboard heat that wasn't working properly so the room was pretty cold the first night. The customer Service was great, they immediately sent someone up to look at it and he couldn't fix it but he brought us extra blankets lol. The next day it was still pretty chilly so they brought us some space heaters. They really were kind and tried to fix problem. The beds are quite thin but not completely uncomfortable. Altogether it was a pretty good stay and the location was pretty convenient. The wild life sanctuary is a bit misleading, it is kind of just a trail that you walk and can see animals

Check in: Easy process, Keys were iffy and didnt work 100% of time|STAFF: lovely friendly kind and helpful, patient with our questions|BED: soft and comfy. They wobble on shaky legs…|Decor: DATED!! But cozy in an old school sort of way. I dig it :) |Kitchen: Full sized appliance- no dishwasher, housekeeping doesnt do the dishes|Living space: HUGE, the two bedroom is about 1200 sqft with a desk, love seat, sofa |SNOW: The grounds are other worldly - just incredible.|Parking: They do have the engine block heater hook ups a plus in sub zero winter||Overall, I would love to see this place during Spring and Summer, because then we could actually trek the full 100+ acreage. It’s gorgeous here in Winter. Loved the stay. Would give a higher score but the decor is very dated, the TV is blurry and internet super spotty, heater took a whole day to get the temp above 70 in sub Zero weather was sorta concerning given we are not from Alaska. ||Great place to see snowy Alaska- get some adventure without going too far from your shelter… We missed the car museum so will be returning for sure. ||Thank you to the great staff who work here and helped us figure out what to do with our excess food stuffs as we check out… much love.

We are 50's and adult children|Stayed for three nights during our arctic circle adventure. |Front Desk Staff are awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. |Free Shuttle to and from airport and other locations for us.|Zacks, restaurant at hotel had good food and atmosphere. |Grocery Store, Fred Meyer (like WalMart) in walking distance.|Cheerful place, we would use again.||

My stay at the Wedgewood was ok. The rooms are very dated and no elevator for upper floors. The room was clean although the maintenance of the room could have been better. For example, both the sink and tub did not drain properly. The walk around the lake is very nice. They did make an error in the billing of the room and seemed dismissive at check in when it was questioned if the correct card was being charged. The shuttle to and from the airport was clean and the drivers were nice. Our meeting was held in one of the detached buildings and was adequate. Catering was just ok and very little interaction from the staff.

Had the suite room was quite comfortable and considerably large, Like a mini home. Breakfast Buffet on the other hand was below average and quite expensive and also no where the price was mentioned. Had one of the worst hot chocolates so wouldn't recommend that.

Updated comfortable rooms, good restaurant on site. It is an older building that is well landscaped and cared for. Helpful front desk staff for things to do in Fairbanks. Shuttle to/from the airport that arrived in 15 minutes.

We stayed in Bear Lodge at this resort as part of an NCL land tour. When we arrived, we were not allowed to check in early. We checked periodically throughout the day, and we told no. Shortly after the last time we inquired, other guests were being allowed to check in early. When we did try to check in, the front desk couldn't find our key. Told us the tour guide, but she did not have it. When we finally go into our rooms, neither one had a working AC. Our room got up to 82 degrees. Our children stuck it out, but we had to switch rooms. Breakfast as the hotel is very expensive for some mediocre food. Even the food at their quick mart, which is not a mart, was expensive. You are better off getting up early and going to The Cookie Jar or bringing your own.

Rooms, front desk service and location were great. Housekeeping rates less poor, canceled housekeeping regularly because they were more of an inconvenience and never properly cleaned thefloors. often took my belongings and I would have to track the items down
