Hubby and I did a tasting, he found 3 of 5 sweets to his liking. I enjoyed 2 of 5 dry. Lovely woman served us, knowledgeable. Bought a couple of bottles to enjoy on the relaxing patio, ate our picnic dinner while the sun went down. Music Bingo started. Unfortunately, the guy ran out of bingo cards. Next time :-) We'll be back.
Very cute little winery. Live music, relaxing & low key atmosphere.. summer wines are perfect for a hot day.
Love love love this winery. I'm a die hard fan of sweet wines and they have some of the best in my opinion. The green apple dew is my absolute favorite. The staff here are the best. Always so kind, considerate, and so incredibly welcoming. Highly highly recommend a visit and tasting!
Love this little winery. They have a wine for everybody. Lots of space, beautiful views. Easy to spend a couple/ few hours enjoying friends and good wine.
A must visit for sure. Went here with my woman to do a wine tasting. We both have never done one before but the woman at the counter was extremely pleasent and helpful. Lynn was her name. She was very sweet and knowledgeable about the selection we tried. The wines we tried were of good quality and most I would buy at the store. We did the sweet tasting option by the way. The wine slushy was to die for. Never heard of that before and it sucks that I didn't because it was amazing. The scenery was gorgeous and very quaint. Recommended.
I’m the owner of Reid DJ Company (Terri Reid - DJ Purkle T), I had the pleasure of DJ’ing a wedding at Weathervane and it’s a fabulous place. Definitely recommend this quite back in the woods venue. Great for a wedding or any other event. They have a place for ceremony, reception, catering, offer a bar, and have clean bathrooms. #reiddjcompany #weathervanevineyards #weddingvenue #bride #groom #love #ncvenue #uplighting #mobiledj #ncweddingdj
This is an awesome place to relax and let time pass by. It's nestled back in, so the entrance does sneak up on you. They offer dry and sweet wine tastings depending on your preference. You can also buy a glass and sit on their porch or seating area. There are small snacks to buy if you'd like something to go with your wine. There is a small gift shop that offers t-shirts, glasses, etc.
I was spending the weekend with my niece who had just begun college at NCAT. We brought along her best friend and my best friend. After hours and hours of searching the perfect winery, we chose here and had to drive about an hour to get there. When we got there, we asked for a flight tasting. We had called earlier to make sure we could bring food in as we were also trying out the local barbecue. The tasting experience was subpar. Unlike most winery tastings when you ask for a “ flight”, you are given several individual glasses for each wine to taste. Not here. They give you a glass with their name on it and they pour each wine in that glass at a time. It was not the normal amount. It was about 2 tablespoons. In fact, you either have to get up each time and go to the bar for your next tasting or just stand up there at once, which was not ideal for us as we wanted to enjoy our flight with our meal to ensure we could drive afterwards. Little did we know, there would be NO worries for that! I compared my experience to my favorite winery in the Shenandoah Valley “ Cross Keys”, near Massanutten, Virginia. I would highly recommend it to someone searching for the True Wine Tasting with Real flights, wonderful tasting wine, and excellent bistro of food options. Anyways here, I chose the sweet flight and my friend chose the dry. My niece and her friend were bored. Unlike other wineries, there were no other activities or even nonalcoholic drinks for non drinking family or guests. I gave this place a Star because I actually liked one of their wines (that i could detect a little that i might like)so much so I bought a bottle so eventually, I could have a “ full tasting”. Maybe this is the reason for how they pour to make sure you buy a bottle— in fact, I am sure this is why. How unfortunate. I think this method of charging $16 for a flight but only pouring the nominal amount is more profitable but not as satisfying to your customers (to ensure they return, unless you don’t want that particular group to return) as using the other method of individual glasses with the proper pour. You are probably better off knowing which one you like and just buying a glass. Unfortunately, the experience was not a good one and we will not be back.

We came here to kayak Lake Thom-A-Lex. Nice size lake with little boat traffic, mostly fishing boats. There is a boat ramp for trailers and a small beach put in for kayaks. Small fee of $4 for launching a kayak. Good size parking and no frills bathro
Went here for our 3 year anniversary to have a night alone and it's clean and has a full kitchen with cooking utensils and the tub is a good size for the amount of money they ask per night I definitely recommend it
This was my family and Iâs first time at this lake. We saw people fishing and even a man in a kayak on the lake. The scenery was beautiful. I really wouldnât recommend this place as a playground because it only has two swings and one slide, but I
