Water Street Brewery Lake Country - Brewpub in Delafield - 3191 Golf Rd, USA

Started off with a delicious bloody Mary and cheese curds. We were there with an event so we had a back room to ourselves. We ordered the California burger medium rare, and it was perfect. The chicken fried chicken dinner came with blue cheese coleslaw, which was unusual but very nice, mac & cheese, two pieces of deep fried boneless chicken and a biscuit. The biscuit didn't come with butter or honey, so ask for it if you prefer.

Stepped out this evening for dinner, had the short rib panini & although the short rib was good, I wasn’t a fan of the sandwich in whole due to my own taste presences. Can never go wrong with the Mac and cheese as a side. The rest of the table got steak, however one of them was undercooked & had to be sent back. Once we sent back the steak to be quickly fixed it was inhaled just as fast.

Waterstreet Brewery Whevener we’re in the Delafield area, we always try to stop by Water Street Brewery as it’s one of our favorite places to go. If we have company who’s visiting town, this is where we’ll take them 9 times out of 10 since the food is just so good. Starting out with the cheese curds, they are one of the best fried cheese curds we’ve ever had. Some restaurants have super oily, not very cheesy tasting ones, but not Water Street Brewery. Theirs are light and fluffy, with no oily taste, just wonderful salty cheesy goodness. They are perfect little bites that are a great appetizer to share since you get quite a few. Their ranch to dip in is mild and a perfect compliment to the cheesiness. Their chicken tenders are another top-tier appetizer to order. These are some of the BEST restaurant chicken tenders. The breading is a crispy beer batter that isn’t oily or overly greasy. The crunch when you bite into these is amazing, with almost a fluffy crispiness. The chicken is juicy and all white meat. If you’ve ever had those chicken strips where the breading is 50% of the tender and it’s hard and chewy, this is the exact opposite. The breading is such a thin layer. The piece of chicken within is huge and wonderful. You get 4 tenders and fries with the appetizer portion, which doesn’t sound like a ton, but the tenders are decently large and filling. This could be a great meal to order on it’s own or a good-sized appetizer for anywhere from 2-4 people. Water Street does some of the best burgers we’ve had, and more than once we’ve driven over an hour out of our way just to have a burger from them. They’re juicy, perfectly cooked, with a fluffy bun. The flavor of the beef is delicious, and the patties themselves are pretty darn thick (½ lb) and filling. My wife loves the farmhouse burger with the over easy egg on top and spicy aioli. The egg is alway perfectly runny, with some of the best bacon on top. It’s thick sliced and perfectly crispy. Their fries are beer battered, which aren’t typically my favorite type of fry, but these are AMAZING. They are crispy,not greasy, and wonderfully seasoned. They make a perfect accompaniment to whatever you’re ordering. We also love their Chicken Schnitzel if you’re feeling something hearty and filling. The speaztle is perfectly cooked, not gummy in the slightest and well seasoned. The demi-gravy on top of the spaetzle makes for a super comfort food bite. The pretzel crusted chicken is crispy and well seasoned. The piece is also massive, making for a good-sized portion. Our favorite seasonal veggie side is the crispy brussel sprouts and apples. It’s a perfect fall flavor that pairs so perfectly with the spaetzle and chicken. If you're looking for some fantastic quality pub food, Water Street Brewery is definitely the place to go. If we lived closer, we would be there all the time. We wish they would open a Madison location at some point!

A microbrewery with typical pub food. The stills are on display from the dining area. The restaurant was not cramped but can be a bit confusing to navigate from the corner. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. The lighting was dimmed for a quiet atmosphere. The food was good but not perfect. The menu seemed limited as can be expected for a brewery. But the beer menu seemed to focus on their home brew beers. The beer is the big attraction here, but I found it to be a bit watery. My party was hosted by Grace and she was above average for a host, checking in with my party frequently and never letting our glasses get dry. I can tell she was busier than most of my experiences in restaurants.

Loved the decor and architecture inside. Absolutely loved the brewing tanks being on the restaurant floor, behind glass. Very unique and the decor the same theme 4* It all carried the same theme: Celebration of Brews of the time’s past and present. Outdoor is in the back by a creek. Gorgeous area! A little tight though. Tables & chairs however need to be resurfaced n treated. The metal rusting. Some tables were bowing slightly in the middle & sides with the edging coming up slightly. It rained prior to us arriving and was disappointed after realizing wait not going to offer a service to dry the chairs & table for us, or anyone else who came in after us :( Seems more and more these younger folks serve for money and forget to service their customers. We eat out to relieve ourselves with the duty of cooking labor intensive meals. Food was better than most places but was not blown away. We will be back to try something else. Was really hoping they’d have Rouladen on the menu as a Sunday special, was no where on the menu. We didn’t have any beer. Water tasted great! Ample parking, wheelchair accessible even to the back for outdoor seating. The bathroom entrance appears to be just big enough for wheelchairs. I could be wrong. I’ll let the owner comment on the measurements. Inside seating is LOADED with lots of large and mini private seating booths. I did see purse hooks at a few tables. Middle of restaurant holds a bar. Which seats lots of people. Restaurant was clean and the atmosphere vibe on our visit was fun, easygoing and welcoming. There is a fire place with seating around it. Can’t wait to return in winter and sit there!

I've always liked this place. Menu has a variety of simple choices and food is always good. I don't believe I've ever had a meal I wasn't satisfied with.i love their homemade sweet potatoe chips. It has a cool vibe and staff has always been pleasant. Plenty of parking that is shared with the rest of the plaza, as one large lot.

Have stopped in a couple times and everything has been very tasty, especiallythe cheese curds. It's usually fairly busy and the staff is running around, but the whole experience overall was good.

My friend hosted a reunion here for our group of about 25 people. She booked it for a Saturday and the hostess and workers put us in back in a very large room of which we had about 8 tables and room to move about freely. We shared the room with a homecoming party but they were in the front half of the room and it was just fine! This area was perfect, relaxed and had plenty of windows. I had the Reuben and it was delicious. This establishment has a full bar as well. All in all we were quite pleased with our experience there!
