Room 307 faced the waterfront, so it had a great view on the top floor, was quiet and reasonably clean. There is no elevator, so everything is carried up. It had a mini fridge, microwave and Kurig coffee. Scruffy towels would be better replaced, as well as pillows too hard to my liking. AC was decent enough. A barbecue area waterside looked pretty nice, but we didn't try it out. Overall a decent stay.

The location here is a bit rough looking but the hotel itself was pretty nice. The room was well stocked and comfortable and there’s a fridge in the room along with a box fan to use for cooling (no AC). The bed was super comfortable and the linens and pillows felt high quality. The rooms were recently renovated and had sinks outside the bathrooms. Hotel room walls were a bit thin and there’s no elevator despite the hotel having 3 floors. Additionally, the hotel has pretty thin walls, so bring your ear buds. I’d honestly stay again given the value presented, but you need to be mindful of the drawbacks before booking to avoid disappointment. I feel the drawbacks are acceptable and the price is appropriate all things considered.

Just arrived and was expecting to give a "you get what you pay for" type of review, but... pleasantly surprised. Just wanted a clean, convenient and affordable room for the night and it is all of that (and better than expected). Very good location, very clean and NOT overly outdated room, service had been helpful and pleasant AND very fairly priced (even with our horrendous Canadian exchange rate). If you want deluxe accommodations (and are willing to pay $$$ for it), look elsewhere. But otherwise... I recommend Water Front Inn highly. Well done and will not hesitate to use for future visits. Only reason for 4 STAR review is because I prefer to leave space for perfection. But if I were basing this review solely on the value for price it would get 5 STARS.

The rooms are a bit outdated, but our room was clean except for the carpet which was stained. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet except when the people upstairs were clomping around. Nice view. In an odd neighborhood. Was a fine place to stay for one night.

One star is already too many. The people who run this establishment are dishonest and have no regard for their customers. They are so afraid of losing money that they don’t hesitate to give your room to someone else before you arrive and then tell you that they weren’t able to call you. That’s what happened to my family. We had booked a room six months in advance for ourselves and our two young children through the hotel website. An hour before arriving in Port Townsend we received an email informing us that our booking had been cancelled. When we finally arrived at 9 pm after a long travelling journey (flight + driving), the lady at the front desk was unhelpful and unsympathetic. She told us she couldn’t get reach of us by phone (our international phone number was perfectly correct on our booking details) so she gave our room to someone else. She left us to our own devices to find another hotel late in the evening so that our children could get a decent night’s sleep. If you want to be treated properly and be sure of getting a room when you arrive, stay away from this hotel.

Do not stay here!!! Booked here for 2 nights for work (Fri and Sat night). The second day, I found several different bugs ON MY BED. No one could admit or deny if it was or wasn’t bedbugs. I had to be asked to be moved rooms. I only booked this motel because I had no other choice (holiday weekend so everywhere was booked except here and now I know why). I was told that I would get a call on Tuesday (after holiday) that I would get a call back on what kind of bug it was. I waited until 7 pm on Tuesday evening to give them a call to see if they had pest control out. Manager, Melissa, answered the call and she was so rude, which I didn’t understand why she was so rude. I told her that I stayed in room “304” and she was like “no they arent bedbugs” with zero explanation or apology. She said she wasn’t there for past 2 days, so I said I want to talk to the owner (who knew of my situation) and she refused to let me talk to anyone who was higher than her (owner and general manager of the company). I was told on Saturday that owner had found several more of these “bugs” but now Melissa is saying they had not found anything on Sunday or Monday. They had pest control out but didn’t call me. I don’t know what kind of manager does not research why there would be a pest control at their hotel. These people are liars and should not be trusted. Melissa told me I should be relieved that these aren’t bedbugs although they couldn’t figure out what bugs I saw even when I gave them a live bug in a ziploc bag. So frustrated with their non-answers. Never ever will be going back to these people. Oh and btw, Manresa castle are owned by same people. Stay away from both places if you don’t want to be surprised by bugs on your bed and when the staff doesn’t take any accountability for it.

STAY AWAY! THEY STOLE OUR MONEY!!!! READ THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND YOU SEE I TELLING THE TRUTH!!Due to the multiple construction going on our route there, we would end up arriving after office hours and check in. I called to let them know situation and was told all 3 of their lock boxes taken and she would call me at 11:00pm and let me know where to pick up my keys. Of course she never called, and when i called there no answer and full voice message mailbox. We spent the night in a parking lot when we had a paid room right down the street. Talk to lady at counter (lady being used loosely as i believe she the one who set this all up) and was told since i never showed up and called the after hours phone number located on the door that i was a no show and she well give no refund. I should be able to trust what is being told to me by their staff and i was told to wait for their call to tell me where my keys located with no mention of after hour phone number and no mention of it when normal hours phone number called. I SLEPT IN MY VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE AND THEY SEE NO REASON TO ISSUE REFUND! I asked if they could give me room for the next night and was told no they all booked up. 100% Lie, i looked on line and rooms were being offered for that same night. I believe this was all staged and intentional with having gotten away with this in past and just a now used tactic to steal people's money. NO WONDER THEY THE ONLY PLACE LEFT WITH ROOMS AVAILABLE IN HEIGHT OF PEEK SEASON. When i asked her why would i spend the night in parking lot when i had a paid room down the street, her response was "i don't know where you spent the night". This place should be shut down for the unethical behavior or at least firing of staff doing the unethical behavior. I well be looking into who i can report them to. Making customer wait for a phone call they dont make, is not ok and not ok at all to steal customers money. I FOLLOWED YOUR STAFF INSTRUCTIONS AND SHE LEFT US HIGH N DRY WHEN I PAID FOR A ROOM! From reading other's reviews, this is far from the first time of her stealing people's money. Do the right thing and give me a refund that i rightfully deserve. By you allowing this lady to keep taking people's money reflects on you the owner as well. It's never ok to keep someone's money when your staff purposely gives false information to your guests in order to steal then tell lies to cover her own bottom. DON'T SUPPORT THIEVES AND BOOK ELSEWHERE. ----- You absolutely DID NOT call me as I waited and slept in my own vehicle HELLO. What your saying in your response are lies created to keep my stolen money. I did not choose to sleep in my car when i could've easily listened to a voicemail (a voicemail thst don't exist) stating how and where to get keys. I booked and paid for a room with every intention on staying in room. Your staff prevented me from getting keys to room i paid for. That is on you and your mistake. It is not on me to navigate around your choosen game playing for obtaining the keys for room i paid for. By you not refunding money for your own mistakes is unacceptable and says everything about your ethics and lack of concern for your customers. Choosing not to do right thing in order to steal someone's money for your greedy pockets (and im not the first customer you've stolen from nor the last) says what you willing to do for a buck. Keeping money that rightfully should be refunded, the lack of cleaning from other's reviews, and the rude, snotty lady at desk who thinks she above everyone else that the chair she seats on behind desk entitles her to do whatever she wants and belittle whoever she chooses, well all be the failure of your buisness. Way to much competition out there for people to put up with such unethical business practices. You might stand a chance if you replace the lady behind desk with someone who has morals and able to care about anyone other then herself. That's the best advice for your business to stay afloat. Tolerating her lies & stealing from customers, makes you a thief as well

Love love love! I live in Sequim and I wanted to go to port townsend for my Bachelorette party. We had a party of 5 (including myself) and I booked a room with 2 queens, figuring we would just "figure it out" for the extra person. Turns out our room came with a couch (yay) that was also a Murphy bed (super yay!) The room was clean and the beds were super comfy. There is a ductless air conditioner and I loved that our room had a balcony with seating chairs over the water. For a view like we had, you seriously cannot beat the price. Staff was super friendly! I will definitely stay here again and recommend to all my friends!
