The beach is very clean and very calm. It was soothing to see the calm blue waters. The lake is so huge that it's like an ocean. The views were great and it was so serene. I definitely enjoyed coming here and if I get a chance , I will definitely be back to enjoy here in summer
Relatively clean beach. It was a great day trip though- my grandson had a blast! We've been twice in the last month and it was definitely worth the three hour drive.
This beach is AWESOME. The sand is so clean! This is nothing like any of the beaches I’ve ever been to at the ocean… and I’ve been to beaches at the ocean in 6 states. Ocean beaches are so dirty… seaweed everywhere… usually trash laying around. Hoards of scavenger seabirds. Trashy people who couldn’t give a rats behind about packing it in and packing it out. This beach… wow. For $15 for our vehicle, we drove off to the right to get away from the main beach and the life guards. Didn’t want to be super crowded. The second parking area had plenty of parking so we parked there. There was a portajon there. So gorgeous! The water was clean and cool that day. When we left we saw more parking down the way, a nicely shaded park eat and then cross back over the burm and back to the water. The zoo is across the little street. Would be a nice little day trip for the family. Highly recommend.
I was here for the lighthouse and the beach, which turned out to be pretty darned awesome. Even on a cool autumn morning, it was a great visit. They were not yet enforcing the parking which is always a bonus. There were a few other people - not many - and the lack of crowds was great too.
From Michigan and this was the first time in Indiana and decided to head to Washington Park Beach. I was amazed at how big and beautiful this beach is compared to New Buffalo, MI's beach. The sand at Washington Park is very soft, both dry and in the water. NO rocks larger than aquarium gravel surrounds this beach area's water. Very different from New Buffalo's beach. While it is a dark golden color, many areas had almost pure white (dry) sand as they have on the Gulf of Mexico's coast. The lake water was crystal clear and it would have given Florida's Gulf waters a run for the money. While it was crowded (Hydroplane boat races in town), there were plenty of places next to the water to sit all-size groups of people. Because of the boat racing during the week, parking was a hit and miss. I was able to find parking close to the water, however, many of the main lots were closed. An older man (the parking lot attendant) was super nice and full of knowledgeable about the area and shared it with us. Very thankful for sharing. So, coming to this beautiful beach for the first time, really made an impression on me and I will definitely be back. Had a great time and meet some great people of Indiana. Looking forward to visiting all the areas associated with this park beach.
It was a very nice experience! We went as a family with our dogs and we were welcomed. There's only the matter of finding a parking spot, and once thats done you cam walk all along the beach shore to find a spot to settle in. However there is only one bath house where there are changing rooms and bathrooms and thats near the parking lot. Otherwise there is no other spot to change or do your business. There are not outdoor shower heads, but all in all its a nice little beach area.
Went to see the lights, it was so pretty. We got to take our time and enjoy all the decorations.
Charged $15 for carload to enter at 7pm. Just wanted to walk to the lighthouse, not really there to beach. Plenty of parking though. Beach itself was decently busy for night and lots of colorful people, blaring music, smoking weed and vaping, twerking and making videos, some high homeless fella on a bike doing hula/ yoga. Not entirely “rough” but very lively. Nice sand though. And a very very large area. Bath house was disgusting, looked like a crack house inside, filthy full of feces and wt toilet paper and sand, but did have running water, soap and a working electric dryer. It was neat there was a restaurant/ bar right there. Gorgeous sailboats and lighthouse to look at at sunset.

I was quite surprised to see such a well stocked and organized record shop in Michigan City. My son even remarked how easy it was to find what he was looking for. I found a great selection of punk, hardcore, indie, alternative, and pop albums. My onl

Dr Hollingsworth has been my doctor for many years. There was a period of time when she relocated so I had to find another doctor. The moment I heard she was back in MC I made an appointment. She remembers everything and I believe she genuinely cares
Beautiful scenic spot! If you plan on parking here, pay the fees in advance. There are rangers or attendants waking around and checking for permits. Restroom was opened and clean.

Teresa was amazing, so helpful, informed about all the furniture products and very patient as I chose a new sofa, looking for specific features while keeping to a lower price point. She was able to find options and arrange to have them moved for me t
