Washington Monument Fountain - Monument in Philadelphia - Eakins Oval, State Rte 3007, USA

What a beautiful place to visit… there are parking spots available around the and if you’re lucky, free parking in front of the Monument but limited. You can do the Rocky steps as well as visit the Rocky Monument… its worth the trip! We really enjoyed!

Amazing details can be seen from 100 yards away. So much history and symbolism are shown in this fountain. I was amazed to see children playing in the fountain and enjoying the hot weather.

Really beautiful piece of art. Would be more beautiful if George was replaced with a jet fountain and we could all take time to appreciate the natural beauty of America, with its original stewards (the native Americans here, and the animals native to North America) but having him tower way over all that really gives off conqueror vibes and honestly it doesn’t feel like it fits the rest of the ‘native to America’ theme.. but what do I know, just my opinion on this juxtaposition of pieces. Still beautiful in its own right though.. the artistic quality is great.

Beautiful area to spend the day and look around. Another location that i visit when I was dating my spouse. Update: Spent the weekend in center city. The area was clean not like other times that was dirty. Unfortunately, there are still gates blocking , water wasn't running from the fountains next to it. But was still very beautiful!

This is..is a bit of a problem and yet the art is amazing. The art has a striking bold look with the Native Americans and Washington riding high above. It is one of those works of art that was made in a different type and will have you talking, that's for sure. I loved it even if I did find issues with it. I did like how they have mostly clean from the birds, which is nice.

It's a nice big fountain with George Washington on the horse, it's in a nice spot very close to Rocky steps
