Close to the airport. 3 minute shuttle to the hotel. The receptionist was amazing, friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious and clean. The power of the shower was great. Nothing beats a good, refreshing shower in the morning prior to boarding your plane. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and it is so convenient to IAD. I was in a king concierge level and had zero views. The room and amenities were fine and I love the bath gel scent! The concierge lounge was adequate but the snack was not up to par. I ended up going to the bar for a glass of wine and hummus. I agree that this hotel needs an upgrade but I enjoy staying here.

This hotel is great for a short trip as it is 5 minutes from the airport, does offer shuttle service to and back. The hotel looks historic from the outside but the rooms are great, the restaurant has a limited menu but good food. The rooms are spacious and just a good vibe. It is far away from any historic sites, so put that into account if you are visiting for the sites. I would recommend and stay there again when in town for business.

First, the good things: excellent food, clean rooms, wonderful staff, and the shuttle runs regularly. Problems: On each of 2 nights, we were assigned to rooms that had exterior access on the 1st floor. The exterior doors do not fit well, and the wind just howls loudly all night long through the gap between the door and the frame. In the second room, the HVAC system was louder than the cabin of the 737 we just arrived in. The parking policy is unclear on the website. One cannot park for more than a week when the room was reserved using points - had to pay full rack right for that privilege. Had I known that prior to arrival and check in, I would have made different plans.

This hotel provided a very convenient option for an overnight stay after an evening flight cancellation and a rebooking for early the next morning. There is a shuttle for the hotel, with only a 5 or 6 minute drive from the pick-up/drop-off point and the hotel itself. The shuttle drivers on both ends were incredibly friendly. Check-in went pretty smooth. The building looked a bit old from the outside, but the lobby area was modern, bright, and inviting. ||I went to my room, opened the door...and was hit with a blast furnace. The thermostat was reading 94, although it looked like it was set for 68. Seeing as at this point of a very trying travel rearrangements, flight cancellation, and rebooking...all I wanted to do was to go to bed. But I couldn't in that sweatbox. I frantically tried to turn the furnace off at the thermostat, but even though it read "Off", the heat was still going full blast. I called to the front desk, and after I explained that there was no way I can stay in the room, I was lectured that the furnace A/C couldn't be turned on (which I understood, but wasn't asking for), and to just turn the furnace off if I didn't want it on. I re-explained that I tried to, that nothing is working, and that it was 94 degrees (!!!) in the room, per thermostat. Hoping for a new room, because all I wanted was to lie down, all I was offered was a "fan for the room". Whatever, I said yes. I waited approx. 30 minutes for the fan, with the room door propped open, in my shorts and a T-shirt in a chair I brought into the hallway, waiting for the fan. A great gentleman from building engineering delivered the fan; I explained the issue, he looked at the thermostat (which was now at a milder 87 degrees with the door propped open), commented "Hmmm, that's not right", and proceeded to turn the furnace off from the ceiling connection, and suggested that I keep the blinds to the window open (which were at the time keeping the adjacent parking lot lights from streaming directly onto my bed) to keep it cooler with the fan. And then left. ||That left me with an 87 degree room for me to sleep in (albeit with a fan running now next to the bed); when all was said and done, between waiting for resolution and not getting comfortable, I proceeded to get a total of 3 hours of miserable sleep. ||So, convenience was great, some staff was great, but to me this was huge service miss. Definitely would not choose to stay here again by choice.

Rooms are an extreme distance from the front desk. Absolutely a physical challenge if you have luggage. A test of your cartilage pulling on carpeted floors. You can use the hotel carts. Unfortunately, you will need to return them, as no one else can get past the stranded luggage carts; as the halls are more the width of hallways in a home vs. a commercial facility. The guest rooms are efficient. Bathrooms are NYC SMALL. You stand at the seat in front of the toilet while at the sink. Turn around, and you can step into the bathtub. Lack of hooks to hang a toiletry bag or garments. The hairdryer my room was supplied with failed to turn on. I attempted 4 different electrical outlets with no avail. Going to bed with wet hair has Medusa effects on my hair. Calling the front desk for a replacement went unanswered for over 10 rings. The bed and bedding were sufficient for my very short rest. When I set my alarm, it indicated 6.5 hours. It was conducive to achieving a short rest. Although the bed was not one of those mattresses that offer the fairy tale effects. Certainly, it did not take away the day's aches and pains. The Concierge Reception room was not attended well to in the morning. There were several persons who came in for coffee, but due to a lack of hot cups, they were unable to fulfill their quest. There was a supply of fresh whole fruit, hot oatmeal, and yogurt with fruit & granola offerings. I sat in the CR room from 6:30-7:15 am. By 7am, there was not any yogurt remaining. The coffee machine had offerings that would rival Starbucks. I opted for the Mocha and thoroughly enjoyed the indulgence!

This hotel has a great location on airport property. Location is the best thing about this hotel. The drink refrigerator in the concierge lounge doesn’t work neither does the coffee machine. I ordered the pot roast and it was DISGUSTING! The serving staff were very friendly though. I booked a 3 night stay and didn’t have enough wash clothes and bath towels so I requested some via app. They never came. Next, I ordered room service (cheesecake and coffee) but the coffee was never delivered. I asked the staff member to ensure I wasn’t charged. Received the bill this morning and sure enough, I was charged for coffee. I sent a message through the app; no apology. This place probably makes money and has good financials because of location. However, they need customer service training and focus on attention to detail.

One of the better airport located Marriott hotels. Rooms good and clean albeit very typical Marriott furnishings. Nothing fancy or unique hotel other than it’s only a 7 minute drive to/from Dulles (IAD) airport. Close enough where you’d wish it was close enough to walk but requires picking up a shuttle. The convenient part is that the hotel is so close the airport shuttle really does run round trip every 15 minutes, so you typically dont have to wait very long on either side of the pickup.
