This restaurant was not on my radar at all! I am so happy the other place we were supposed to ended up being too packed and 45 minute wait. We had no wait here, and it wasn't packed! I must say the food was really really really good. The service was impeccable, the portions were large and the Valerie for the meal was perfect! I loved my entire experience! My family and Thave found a new Hibachi spot in the area. The sushi was delicious and a surprise of night. The food was really tasty and well seasoned! Returned the next day, Around 2:00 pm with my daughter. Was told we were not able to get Hibachi bc the restaurant CLOSES at 2:30pm completely shuts down. No signs, no mention of this in the menu. So we sit down and have to order from the regular menu. The waitress was rude, she felt the need to interject her opinion as though someone asked her. She rushed us and five Minutes after we got our food she brought us to go boxes and explain it was time to go. I received the message loud and clear, we will not be returning.

It’s my God Daughters Birthday and she decided she wanted to eat Hibachi for dinner. As a family our “Go-to” restaurant is Douglasville Wasabi Sushi & Hibachi. We arrive and the front of the restaurant is under construction/ renovation so it’s dusty. We are frequenters of this establishment. The Gentleman that cooked for us seemed to be new.. His style was very sloppy.. When plating the food he would miss the plate.. spilling our food all over the bar. We asked for the veggies to be well done and they were still hard as if he just heated them. A lot of people ordered shrimp and chicken.. but I don’t eat seafood so I asked for the steak and chicken… I’m the only person that ordered steak so he’s going around playing with the rice.. throwing it in the air for us to catch with our mouths.. very playful… He cooks the Shrimp 1st and He’s giving everyone shrimp even those( including me Shrimp)(I don’t eat shrimp so I gave it to my sister) Now that was cool because you can cook extra Shrimp to play and share with everyone… cool.. He proceeds to cook my steak and then He cut into my Steak and cut 2 pieces out my steak and put it on somebody else plate!!! immediately I’m like excuse me how you just gonna give them a sample of my Steak!!! I’m gonna be charged for the whole steak so I should get every piece!!! 🤬🤬🤬 with no apologies he just moves on as if he didn’t understand what I was saying. Then the lady (not in our party) had a spider fall down from the ceiling into her food!!! I felt like they should have accommodated the whole table and not just her meal. Also my Sister’s Husband is in the military.. in the past we would get the discount over the whole bill… but since whatever “new” policy they only offer the military discount on the one meal😤Final straw the grill was cleaner after he cooked then it was before he began cooking 😩 needless to say Me and the family are currently looking for a new Hibachi restaurant.

Old & dirty building. Ugly entrance, stained ceiling tiles, torn seats, sticky tables & utility tools in dining areas. Hibachi shrimp was over cooked and made me sick. Worst dining environment I’ve experienced in a long time.

We had a fantastic experience at the neighborhood hibachi grill during the week. I think our servers name was Yenny. He gave great and very honest suggestions. It is a very low key spot if you're not looking for anything too fancy but want Habaci Edit: Today our whole table had a horrible experience simply because of my mushroom allergy. As regular Habaci diners I informed my server of my allergy while we ordered drinks, I also requested a salad in place of my soup due to my allergy. When the chef came out to cook I noticed the mushrooms sitting on top of the other vegetables on his cart and before he even read us back our tables food, I interrupted to remind them of my allergy. He said it wasn't on his paper, I informed him I had mentioned my allergy to my server. He basically told me he wasn't going to do anything about it simply because he already brought out the ingredients. I told him everytime I come this isn't a problem and how they cook all the food. He started yelling, our server got involved and the 2 of them yelled at each other in Japanese. He refused to simply replace the vegetables (as if they didn't have plenty of time to use those vegetables for another table). Our server said I'd have to talk to the manager. I explained what was happening and at first she said it was my issue because the server didn't write it down. We argued and she agreed my vegetables could simply be made in the kitchen as not to disturb the vegetables at the table. Back at the table was the fastest most thrown together Habaci service WE had ever seen. He said he didn't want to cook for us, threw the food on our plates and left. The entire table of strangers dicussed they had never seen anything like this. Our server said he was in the back yelling actually calling him "crazy". One of the people at the table asked for the manager who in the end did nothing. Because of this debacle over something that was so simple, I will likely not be back as a regular guest.

Fantastic in all areas! The service is always great, the food is AMAZING! The servers and Chef’s are always smiling. They went above and beyond for me today and created a special sushi bowl. It was the best Edited to add: another fantastic meal! This place is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! My plate today was so nicely plated that I didn’t even want to cut into it! Love this place and highly recommend

This was our first trip. We had a good chef. He was funny and paid attention to everyone's different orders and made sure they were cooked correctly as ordered. We had some great table mates! It made for an even more enjoyable time. The restaurant is in an old buildings, but it was clean. The servers were nice as well. The food was good. The rice was well cooked, as were the vegetables. My husband said his chicken was good. The others at our grill seemed to really enjoy their food also. We got the lunch special and walked out of there full with very little being spent on Hibachi food and drinks. $22 for 2 people with Coca-Cola's is awesome in my book! We will definitely go back!

No matter where I go for sushi I always come back to Wasabi. Their sushi is my favorite and no where else can you find dumpling soup! The restaurant is a bit dingy and needs updating but the sushi tables to the side are quiet and the service is always wonderful.
