Wasabi on 82nd - Japanese restaurant in Indianapolis - 5025 82nd St, USA

I had the Mistake roll and the Alaska roll. The Mistake roll was delicious! Alaska roll wasn’t my favorite but it tasted fresh so it has more to do with my preferences. The restaurant was very clean. Bathrooms were well maintained. Service was very kind however my server did have a heavy smell of cigarettes which gave me a bit of a headache. Overall I will definitely come back here!

The food is okay but the service….we’ve come to eat on a few occasions and the older server is so painfully rude. Tonight he could be heard screaming at the other employee in the kitchen. When we walked in, the sushi chef motioned us to sit in a booth. The server then has us move which would’ve been fine but it was communicated poorly. Then when I wanted to put our order in when he came for our drinks, he said we can’t cut the food line and that there were lots of take out orders ahead of us.

This is THE FRESHEST seafood/sushi I have had in quite a long time. The service was courteous and prompt and I love that the restaurant is cozy…keeps from getting too loud on busy evenings. I had a lovely conversation with the chef while I awaited my takeout order, I will be patronizing this business for my sushi needs as my top choice going forward. Thank you for amazing fresh food and genuine caring service!

Volcano sushi was the best one! Friendly staff and great appetizers :) Rainbow 🌈 roll was delicious! The dynamite mussels and kiss of fire eel roll were so good 🙌🏻 our server Nara was great 🥂 No to the octopus and beef tataki. Pino noir meori red wine was also good 🍷

The old guy with the grey hair that works here is extremely RUDE!! If you don’t like your job just quit! Besides that they have phenomenal sushi! Wide array of sushi options to choose from. Prices aren’t bad as well.

One of the top sushi places to eat on this side of town. Small seating area inside, but usually not over crowded. Large wine room with a great selection. Nice decor inside and lots of parking being in a large and long strip mall. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but as expected for excellent sushi. You can sit at a table or at the bar with the chefs. The service is excellent, which earned them the 5th star, as some places with great food, lack great service. Not here, both food and service are excellent. Very well trained staff members. The menu was extensive, like most sushi places, and had an excellent amount of choices of other items so anyone can find something they want to eat. The food presentation, portion sizes, and taste were all great. Very nice place to stop in for some good food and drinks.

Wasabi on 82nd is without a doubt the best sushi spot in Indy! The sushi is fresh, the food is great, but the best part about this spot is the attentiveness of the staff. The wait staff is patient, helpful, and kind. If you are in the Castleton area for whatever reason, this place is worth the visit.

Very nice sushi bar in castleton. Great sushi. Good customer service. Quiet and enjoyable. All you can eat. Approximately $20 per person.
