Many miles of paved trails. Several miles of dirt hiking trails. Large loops and a lot of shade. Rest rooms at Nature Center.

Beautiful park, nice trails & a unique Library with chairs to bird watch or read. Large selection of bird books.. Great family park to spend the day. The actual center has displays of native animals lots of fun to see them up close.

My 4year old granddaughter I went for the Hummingbird Celebration. They were banding the hummingbirds before they left for the winter. Emma got to release one. There were activities and the staff was incredible. The park is beautiful and hiking friendly for all ages. We will be going back soon.

We went to the park for hiking as a family and were pleasantly surprised to find that there was a hummingbird event taking place where everyone could watch hummingbirds get tagged by handlers! It was very informative, and there was also face-painting for kids, a vendor selling food and drinks, and lots of great playground space! We also hiked some trails and played in the nearby creek!

Me and a group of relatives went and walked the trails for a little while. It was pretty easy hiking for me (I'm used to small mountains and woodland trails) and it was relatively flat. However, when we went it had rained a lot and the trails we're really muddy and slippery, but I'd definitely recommend wearing hiking boots or something more rugged and that you don't mind getting a little dirty. We went on New year's day, so unfortunately the building was closed, but it looked like there were some very cool interactive things in and around the building especially for younger kids...there was also a really big wooden chair and tables on the back porch that were fun to play on

Always a great experience wandering around soaking up the sights. I wish I could have caught one of the concerts by candlelight, but definitely will next time around. The lake and scenery are gorgeous, and the Parthenon is of course, just incredible!
