Staff was welcoming and very informative. They have a list of activities scheduled just as you walk in. Displays are very interesting with the touch screens. Canoe and kayak rentals and tours. Trails encircle the whole area, giving you a great variety of habitats.
They had a very fun event with a scavenger hunt, sound garden, apple cider pressing, Pioneer games, seed art, and other activities. It was a beautiful day to be in among the fall trees.
Parking was a challenge, but that was to be expected for an event.
My son loved the toddler room, we can't wait to go back when the snow is gone to explore the outdoor play area!
I would say the indoor area is mostly for toddler age, but older kids might be entertained enough also.
Quite a bit of space and some neat areas to climb around for smaller people. Try to visit the nature center when it's open - there's a lot to look at inside and they have helpful staff.
This park feels like a lot of it is low land and bugs may be a little rough later in the summer.
Private walking trails. Good place to get away from people. It's very scenic. Well setup with plaques and signs. The 1 staff member we encountered was nothing but kind. Will be back soon

Really cool displays. Not too many live animals(turtles, snakes, amphibians) like at some other nature centers that I’ve seen, but that’s ok with me too. There was one live snake, in its tank, downstairs. I haven’t really been on the trails, so I can’t speak about the outside areas. But the inside area was nice.
Great outside trails and play area for toddlers and preschoolers.

Within 30 mins from the twin cities. Nice secluded camp sites. Close to the beach and the owner does routine checks so does the coppers. Highly recommended.
