Walnut Inn Motel - Featured Reviews (97)
The clerk in the front was really nice. She even went upstairs and turned on the AC for me while I was getting my stuff from my vehicle friendly service.
We almost didn’t find The Walnut Inn Motel because you have to go through a gas station to get there and the hotel is attached to a bar. The “office” is a window where you ring a bell and wait…..and wait. Our room was clean and super simple but the “neighborhood” was, let’s call it, interesting.
Bedding was not changed pillows not even on bed. Zero towels. People outside partying almost all night. Loud people. Almost like a hourly motel with people coming and going. No one in morning to get a towel. Got here at 10pm leave at 630am. Maybe 3 hrs of sleep. Worst motel ever. If your staying here have your sidearm and good news is the shower does have great pressure.
Rooms were nice in the sense that they were clean and had laminate flooring instead of carpet. Outlets were all iffy and took me a few tries before finding one my charger didn't fall out of. Motel doesn't provide receipts, so if you're staying here for business don't anticipate a receipt. Pot holes between the gas station and the motel were horrible so drive very slowly
This motel was the most spotlessly clean motel room that we have ever stayed in. The floors do not have carpet & the floors were all squeaky clean. The beds & pillows were extremely comfortable & the bathroom was up to date, in great condition, & had an abundance of hot water with great water pressure. They have invested in the amenities that actually make a stay worth the money. We had pets & they allowed those for a little extra $. The heat & air unit was an older style but worked great & produced fresh clean air. Getting to the motel is a little difficult due to potholes from the nearby truck stop, but go slow & you will be fine. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a quiet, comfortably clean place to spend the night.
Not bad for a night's stay for truckers passing through. Get off the road, get a room, get some beer and relax. Inexpensive.
Room (106) was clean, comfy and basic. Water pressure in shower is fantastic and great at the end of day. Parking lot is bright lit and has multiple security cameras. Room refurbished with hard floor, fresh paint, and a newer tub surround with clean chalk. Good stay for price.
We drove from Tennessee to Checotah and was so shocked after paying 90. Beds are hard and TV had no cable just a box. Remote didn't work and when calling no one answered on several calls. Assuming Owner came and brought a HDMI cord but didn't work. Am shocked that they can rent a place like this for this price point. Deadbolt lock doesn't work so had to put chair in front of door. Worst hotel over ever stayed in bar none. Go to holiday inn or Motel 6.
A very interesting battlefield , small engagement but a very important victory for the Union. This battle had the first black troops fight in more numbers than the troops in South Carolina. This victory stopped the southern army from controlling Kans
Such a friendly and informative place. We didn't try the food but my mom was unimpressed with service in a âðµplace in Muskogee. She got her triple shot here!
I got a sugar-free hazelnut cappuccino. Yum! I'll update my review as the relationship
Update: The sign on the front window says best Chicken Fried Steak in town, and I was not disappointed. Homemade-not frozen, amazing gravy and some of the best tots I've eaten in a while. I highly recommend.
Tonight hubby and I went to Boomerang '
