Scott took as much care hosting us as he did in his loving restoration of the Manor. Bedrooms were cozy and public rooms cheery - all framed by handsome woodwork and intriguing features. Breakfasts were delightful encouraging lively discussions with other guests. Highlight was his homemade sour cherry preserves. For our staycation, we thoroughly enjoyed walks through Ohio City neighborhood, gallery surfing in Tremont, the Aquarium in the Flats and sunsets at Edgewater Park.
Beautiful B&B! The house itself is full of lovely antiques, is well-maintained and very clean. Scott and Daniel were both excelled hosts. Our room was clean, well-appointed and very cozy. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious, made at your specified time and the coffee was so good! It was so nice having the privacy and freedom to come and go, but also to feel our needs were taken care of. We would happily stay again any time.
My sig. other recently spent two very pleasant nights at this beautifully restored late 1800s manor. We chose this B & B based on the numerous 5 star reviews, and we were not disapointed. We spent two, very quiet nights in the Blair room. I especially enjoyed the very comfortable king size bed and the spacious bathroom. The home does not creak! It is solid throughout which allows for a restful sleep.||Wallace Manor has only four bedrooms which is perfect if you prefer a quieter B & B experience. The four beautifully decorated rooms downstairs are available to guests. |They offer quiet and spacious areas to read or just spend time relaxing. ||Scott was a gracious and pleasant host. He provided ample and delicious breakfasts and provided helpful suggestions for enjoying one's stay in Cleveland. Ask! The west Market, only a mile away, is well worth the visit. If you are an early riser, Scott will have freshly brewed coffee waiting for you. ||Thank you Scott, we had a very enjoyable stay. We hope to return to Cleveland in the future and we will again stay at Wallace Manor B & B!
We stayed 2 nights at the Wallace Manor and our stay was amazing. The entire home is beautiful. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The host was super friendly and provided a delicious breakfast as well as great suggestions on places to visit. We were close to everything while still being in a quiet residential area. Highly recommend a stay at this bed and breakfast!!!
A hidden gem that we are so grateful to have discovered. We have a passion for rehabilitating grand old homes, and Wallace Manor is a must-see. Gorgeous! Thank you Scot for being such a hospitable host with our millions of questions about the home. We will be back! PS the heated bathroom floor in the Walnut Room was amaaaazing!
We were fortunate to stay at Wallace Manor last week. We are a cycling group who enjoy experiencing the "rail trails" in the USA. The owner, Scott, was our host, breakfast chef, historian and individual who planned and carried out the beautiful and historically impressive renovation of this 1883 stone home. Check out the pictures on his website. It is a first-rate property. |Amenities include(of course not limited to): storage for bikes(a must for us), comfortable rooms with private updated baths and firm mattresses, snacks and beverages including wine and beer were made available to us at no $$, lovely deck and charming landscaped patio. |I/we highly recommend Scott and his Wallace Manor Bed and Breakfast.
We had reason to be in the Ohio City area of Cleveland for an extended visit and chose Wallace Manor for its location. We are glad we did. Without question the best B&B experience I have had (and I have had many). There's the beauty of the house, but of course much of the B&B experience is the quality of the host. Scott is everything one hopes for: gracious, happy to talk without being intrusive, a wealth of information if you seek it, and just an all-around nice person. In addition, he was flexible, working with us on a non-standard arrival time and some food preferences at breakfast. I should also point out how nice it is to use the patio with its awning and the three beautiful rooms on the main level that are open for use by guests. (All bedrooms are upstairs.)
We enjoyed two nights in Cleveland at Wallace Manor. In the middle of a historically interesting neighborhood (there's a good walking tour online) and a very interesting building. Scott was super welcoming and also had alot of interesting info on the city.
