Wall Doxey State Park - State park in Holly Springs - 3946 MS-7, USA

Beautiful and peaceful state park with a 1.75 mile trail around the lake. The state park is 30 minutes from Oxford. The trail is easy and well maintained. The entrance fee is 4 dollar, cash only.

Overgrown weeds in the lake, grass super tall next to docks. Good fishing on one side of the lake.

Nice piece of country, but the park is very unmaintained. We staid in a cabin that is very dated. Air vents dirty, heating poor. Grill was broken. Cabin was also clean and it was a nice break from society.

Love this State Park! I Wish the State would do their job and use tax payers money to upgrade our country Parks!!!

This seems like a place where episodes of the ‘Walking Dead’ were filmed. For a park that claims to have funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the restrooms were the only amenity that was worthy of one star for functionality and cleanliness, other than that the park management has let the historic structures fall into horrible disrepair, the picnic area tables are covered with moss and some falling apart, the docks are decrepit and dangerous to walk on. Compared to all the nine state parks we camped in on our recent cross country trip this park was the most disappointing. For example, it has potable water that failed minimum standards for drinking according to a posted notice, RV parking spaces that are not level, and the reserved spot wasn’t noticed so we were unsure if we could actually stay since the camp host was off duty. The only redeeming aspect is that it seems that the wildlife are at home in this decaying park since no one wants to really stay there.

We went there in the evening and not many people were there. It was peaceful. You can hear the sounds of the birds and insects. Best place to spend some peaceful time.

The park was very beautiful. We went for my niece's wedding. However, the cabin we stayed in was horrible. It was cabin #1, and it was practically falling apart. Literally had cabinets hanging from the ceiling, floor felt as if it was caving in the bathroom, mold on the fridge, no microwave, no coffee pot, no TV service even though supposedly dish was included and the satellite was on the front porch. It was a rip off and we would have just gotten a hotel room if we would have known.

Great place, I went to Chewella first and it was not fun. Stopped by here on way home ended up going the trail and having fun..
