Walker Ranch Loop Trailhead Parking Lot - Featured Reviews (110)
My friend and I jetted in from Fort Lauderdale, FL, with the mission to soak up the great outdoors in Colorado. Of all the hikes we tackled, the Walker Ranch Loop won our hearts. This 8.6-mile loop delivered everything we were looking for. The weather played nice and enhanced our hike - clear skies, a soft breeze, perfect for taking in the vast open valleys, the refreshing forest patches, and the picturesque rivers that define this route. The trail wasn't overly crowded either, which made our experience feel even more special. The shift in scenery along the route kept things interesting and satisfying. Moving from open valley, to forest, to the sight and sound of flowing rivers was like walking through a perfectly curated nature exhibition. Sure, the ascension was a bit of a challenge with some incline, but it was nothing we couldn't manage. That feeling of accomplishment when we made it was totally worth it. All said, Walker Ranch Loop is a hiker's delight and an adventure we'd totally recommend.
Perfect trail for all kinds of skill levels, dog friendly and not as busy as some of the other trails I've visited.
I always like Walker Ranch, and especially in the spring when the creek is running higher and temps are perfect. We hiked it Wednesday after the rain threat was gone and we had the place to ourselves. It was still and the sun was just coming out from the clouds. It was peaceful and beautiful. It is a solid moderate hike. There are a couple packed along the creek to stop for a snack or picnic if you like. Each time I do this trail it reads at 8.2 miles and 1493 elevation gain. We rode this on Friday, and it's a little more if a challenge as a bike ride. The rocky sections tend to be more technical and challenge my mediocre riding ability. But there is plenty of opportunity to just walk through the stuff that is too hard and still get in some good riding. The steep sections seem extra steep on the bike, but maybe as the season gets further along, it won't seem so tough. The stairs section is definitely a hike the bike area and even though it's tough to climb the stairs with the bike, I prefer this clockwise direction for the better decent. Enjoy!
I meant to take the trail head that takes a short hike down to Eldorado Falls. But started on this trail. It was really beautiful obviously and the trail was nicely made with moderate to beginner friendly levels. I did not finish the whole loop was trying to find a way down. So tip if your trying to find Ahort hike to the falls (DONT use this trail head). There is a different parking area off a different road, which is where I hiked out. Definitely user error, also DOWNLOAD maps before (no reception I should know better) lol but I actually wanted to be "phone free". The view and hike were great and safe alone. I only came across 1 other hiker and saw 2 bikers heading out when I started. So for April, atleast, on a weekday, it was not crowded at all!
Best loop hike/run/ride in Boulder County. Hard, but not too hard with significant vertical. Beautiful with two crossings of South Boulder Creek.
This is a great but strenuous 8 mile hike. Lots of different scenery. You cross a mountain stream on bridges twice. Pine Forest. You start going down and always end up whether you go counterclockwise or clockwise. Took me 4 hours.
Great place to hike or bike. Trail is well kept and easy to follow. The views are amazing and the drive to get there is a blast. The restrooms are clean and odor free. There are a couple nice places for a picnic as well.
Great hike, a little on the challenging side. Get there early.

This was an exciting hike with a nice surprise climb at the end to the top. It was a clear day so the views were stunning. Thunder was bouncing through the canyon creating a thrilling experience. Not muddy and was a tad busy but well worth a trip.
Intermediate level; for beginners hike may seem intimidating as the incline begins pretty quickly from the trailhead, but keep going! The views are totally worth it. We took the Chautauqua trail-Flatiron 2/3 hike up and the Bluebird-Baird trail down.
Best solo climb I've ever done. Up the standard route; down the south ramp to the top of the SW chimney; down that to the ground. Nothing harder than 5.5.
Beautiful canyon hike - I got dropped off further up the canyon (by the intersection with Four Mile Rd) which I would recommend. Further up the canyon there was a lot less foot traffic, so it was nice hiking. The trail is really well maintained. Smoo
A solid, moderate hike. Parked in the neighborhood and then began the trek upwards. Itâs a lot of upward hiking basically the whole time, but itâs fairly gradual. Higher up you get, the more Rocky it gets. Great views, a decent amount of shade bu
COWS. There a lot of them and you can see them really up close sometimes which is fun. As for the hike, it's nice and easy and pretty flat overall. Terrain is mostly golf-ball to baseball-sized rocks / gravel so it's fine for walking in sneakers, but

We held our work holiday party here and it was the perfect venue. Mike was really helpful in getting us booked in and Addison looked after us on the night. The ciders were brilliant, and we brought our own catering in for the event. We were 25 people
I went last year with my friend and have been going at least twice a week ever since. The classes are fun, always different, and the instructors are top notch. If you want to lift heavy, they have a good variety of weights to accomplish that goal. I

Absolutely thrilled with Boulder Karate! My 5-year-old daughter adores every class and eagerly looks forward to her private lessons with Molly. Her enthusiasm for karate has skyrocketed since joining, and weâre delighted to see her excitement and d
