Worked with Dr. Lauren (CASC), she is exceptional and remarkable! My kid loved his appointments and learned a lot. We will miss her a lot.

Wonderful experience. Dr Sarah Warner is skilled, thorough, and kind. Social worker Amy went above and beyond in answering all my (many) questions and getting to know my family. Could not be happier with our family’s experience at the waisman center.

My son had an audiologist appointment today at 9:45am in his my chart it stated that we were seeing an actual audiologist I went in and I see 4 other people including the audiologist I was HIGHLY confused because on my chart it says I’m only seeing one audiologist and NOT medical students!. I had brought my daughter in and she wasn’t comfortable either she was showing a lot of behavioral problems she tends to only do this in public no where else when she’s super uncomfortable in an unknown environment we were in the appointment and they told me to sit in a chair with my son for the hearing test I agreed 👍🏾 but my daughter kept coming towards us and she also took her shoes off and wanted me to put her shoes back on! Cool! I do that and the girl that was in the room was like *sigh* can you have your daughter go over there on that side so at this point I was getting overwhelmed because first off I felt like my daughter was being a bother they didn’t step in and ask if I wanted to reschedule the appointment they treated me like I was a little girl and that I needed to JUST listen to them at that point I was just done with the appointment I didn’t feel comfortable I walked out with my child and went to the lobby to take a breather the audiologist followed me out there I was in tears because I am also going through other things in my life and I just felt like they were all just judging me because of my daughters behavior in the process I did learn my son now has fluid in both of his ears so I will be speaking with him pediatrician tomorrow but given these events I will not be stepping foot in this clinic again

I cannot express how deeply disturbed and disappointed I was by my appointment at Waisman Genetics. I was asked for my consent for a medical student to be a part of the visit and I agreed, what I was NOT asked my consent about and did not agree to however was to be watched through a two way mirror for the duration of the appointment and for the handful of other random doctors to join in the appointment. I feel utterly disrespected and creeped out, as well as a seeming lack of knowledge of things previously expressed BY THEM. It appeared to me based on teleheath conversations earlier this year that the doctor I was seeing here had suggested I may have a hyper rare subtype of EDS, and when I asked about the subtypes I was simply told I didn't fit the profile of the vascular or classical forms, which were not the hyper rare subtypes in question. I had assumed that this doctor had knowledge of all 13 types based on how he was touted to me as a "connective tissue disorder expert" but my experience at the center told me otherwise. The beighton scale hypermobility check wasn't even performed correctly. If you want to feel at all cared about by your health care providers or perhaps respected, do not go to the Waisman genetics center.

I can't even begin to say how thankful we are for all the doctors in the autism clinic. Extremely knowledgeable people, and everyone was so kind and understanding. Highly recommend! Especially for girls who don't present stereotypically. The wealth of information they gave us was way beyond what we could have hoped for. It's nice to have support, finally.

Incredible insight into brain health. This team and their systematic approach to TBI is comprehensive, repeatable, and caring. Our family is very grateful to this team and the Waisman Center 👍🤗

That's a good place if you have a little child you can drop them off while you work I work there myself I worked in the childhood center if you have a little kid a little munchkin you can drop them off there until you get off of work that's when my dad and my mom did when I was 3 years old back in the day I was at the weisman center the childhood side

That's is a great research facility in Madison. They work hard to better understand children. The space Could be a little more inviting to children. The American Family children center is very very welcoming and I would love to see this center have more children's features throughout.
