Waikiki Resort Hotel - Hotel in Honolulu - 2460 Koa Ave, USA

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally positive experience. The front desk, cleaning ladies, towel department provided excellent customer service, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the breakfast experience had some room for improvement.||The two men working in the breakfast area seemed a bit stressed, possibly due to a shortage of staff. While their lack of greetings and a somewhat rigid sign-in process could be improved and handling utensils could be more polite. It's worth noting that they appeared to be working hard under challenging circumstances. ||On a positive note, there was an Asian lady who stood out for her welcoming demeanor. She greeted guests with a friendly "Good morning" and displayed a more courteous attitude. It would be great if the entire breakfast team followed her example.||It's crucial for the hotel management to consider addressing staffing issues to ensure a smoother guest experience. Despite the minor inconveniences, I appreciate the effort the staff puts in and hope that improvements can be made for a more seamless breakfast service.

Having read reviews prior to staying I knew going in that the hotel was dated. I found that to be true though the rooms are grounds were fairly tidy. My only complaint is that there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom when I arrived. The breakfast room is too small and crowded and seems only to have enough seats for about half of the people wanting to eat breakfast. The hotel is nothing to write home about but what has lead me to write this review is the aggressive and rude staff. Not all staff. In fact many staff were very pleasant. However there were too many encounters with staff who were incredibly rude. It's unacceptable to be yelled at by staff for no reason other than they can't control their emotions or haven't figured out how to behave like an adult. I've still got 4 more nights unfortunately so management you have the opportunity to make things right.

I stay here every time I visit my family in Honolulu. Hotel stay at Waikiki Resort is always nice and there are so many wonderful and kind staffs here. Highly recommend. Hotel now offers a wonderful beach yoga classes and I can’t say enough about the yoga instructor Julia and the style of yoga that she provides which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable and rewarding for beginners to advanced yogis. Julia has a very sweet personality with a beautiful smile. Every time I take her class she greets all of us with a very welcoming smile. I can’t wait to come back here and take her classes again! What a wonderful way to start a morning on beach vacation with a relaxing and peaceful yoga on the beach!! 🏝️

Location was really good and all steps were kind. Breakfast was not bad, my boy liked waffles so much. My family was satisfied for staying at Waikiki Resort Hotel. Thank you for welcoming us. I hope to visit Hawaii again.

I’ve stayed here many times over the years as my work brings me to the islands multiple times a year, sometimes monthly or weekly. In the beginning (2015) this was a great place to stay, but over time has become not so pleasant. From the front desk to the rooms! The rooms are extremely outdated yet are priced close to very nice hotels in the area! The rooms are not as clean as they use to be and the staff not as friendly. Guess I’ll be finding me another home away from home here on Waikiki. The price just doesn’t match the value here anymore!

Front desk staff were not welcoming and pleasant at all. They have a policy that you can’t arrange late check out until the morning of the departure which is counter initiative. Breakfast was the same thing every day and the waffle machine seemed to be the most popular item given the lack of choice available. The pool was ice cold and your couldn’t swim in it .. so not really an amenity you can use out of summer season. The overall rating was given a 2 purely for the house keeping services who did an amazing job of keeping the room clean. We ended up leaving to another hotel and wouldn’t recommend staying here based on the level of service provided .

Chose this hotel for the location, which is outstanding - just a block or two off Waikiki Beach. No disappointments there. Room was a bit smaller and less grand than expected, but okay. The lobby & pool are impressive, and the on-site Ilana Cafe an excellent breakfast upgrade.

The hotel provides on-site self-parking for a fee, which was one of the reasons for our selection. Overall, it's an okay hotel. Inside, you'll find clean water stations for refilling your bottles. Washroom is small. I wouldn't classify the breakfast as hot, except for the pancakes. The beach is within walking distance.
