Waikiki Malia - Hotel in Honolulu - 2211 Kūhiō Ave., USA

The location & staff make this a wonderful place to stay in Waikiki Beach. My room was extremely nice but when I asked for a fridge in my room, I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite! It had a lovely little kitchen. (no extra charge) I enjoyed watching the world go by on my very spacious lanai (patio) The only minor issue I had with the resort was the extremely tiny pool. I enjoyed doing my laps in the pool as it basically could only accommodate one person at a time. It was the perfect temperature though. The hotel also provided purified water in the lobby area with reusable water bottles & other activities on certain days. The staff were extremely helpful & friendly.

Great location close to all amenities. Good value for money compared to other hotels in Waikiki. Housekeeping excellent. Pool very small. In fact more like a plunge pool. Staff helpful. Studio room spacious and comfortable except for street noise. This is not a problem during the day if you are out and about but our family member using the balcony room had to wear ear plugs at night to sleep. Hotel should upgrade soundproofing on balcony doors. Studios somewhat worn and need to be updated or at least deep cleaned. Our housekeeper was brilliant and kept the rooms comfortable and clean for us but they need attention. If the older tower looked like the updated tower it would be great. There is an amenity fee although amenities are basic. All in all we are very happy we chose this hotel. If you want somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of the big resorts yet still close to the beach and shops and restaurants I would recommend Malia Waikiki.

We loved our stay at Waikiki Malia. The location is great, you can walk to all major spots in Waikiki. There is also a bus stop steps from the hotel, which is super convenient. The staff was very nice and you could feel the “aloha hospitality”. The jacuzzi was great. They also offer events on Fridays, lei making class was nice and they also had free ice cream! We traveled with a toddler and they were very accommodating to our needs, they offered a crib and a bigger fridge so we could store more fruits and snacks for her. But there were also different types of rooms with a stove/freezer/fridge, etc. But they were fully booked. I enjoyed our stay and recommend :)

Needed a hotel for just 2 nights. This hotel is a few blocks from the beach. Lots of food options v close to hotel. Good size renovated rooms. Staff v nice. Lobby is kept icy cold (not sure why). This is Not the hotel if u r looking for an outdoor pool, or even a decent size indoor pool. There was an extra 'amenity charge' of $40 US/day at check out. We were warned of that at booking, so it was not a surprise, but we didn't feel it was warranted.

My family enjoyed our stay here. Had 2 adjoining rooms. From the moment we checked in, the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The customer service and hospitality were amazing. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Views were great. Location very close to restaurants and shopping. Easy to get anywhere we needed to go. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will visit again.

There should be no hesitation about making a reservation, this hotel was great. This location was ideal. It was in walking distance of the beach and was surrounded by plenty of restaurants. It has a resort fee that was disclosed at booking so there were surprises. My room was comfortable and clean, and my housekeeper was amazing. There is parking onsite and it was definitely worth the extra expense. Yes the pool was small but I knew that before booking when I read the reviews, how er that was not important when you are on an island surround by beautiful beaches. I travelled solo and felt completely safe.

The hotel boasts cleanliness and modern updates. The beds offer comfort, and the staff is both professional and friendly. Conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants, I was thoroughly pleased with my stay and would choose it again.

We were here for a work trip and could not have been more pleased with the hotel. Our rooms were new and spacious. The staff was extremely friendly, particularly the night manager, Vincent. They helped us with everything we needed and gave lots of great local recommendations of places to eat and things to do. Some downsides: is the parking garage is expensive per night and is extremely small (you can only manage the turns with a small car; you also don't get breakfast and free coffee is limited. For the amount you're paying, that is unfortunate.
