Honestly the best we’ve stayed at. I’ve stayed in numerous hotels in Waikiki, airbnbs, you name it. You cannot beat the location and what you get at the Waikiki Grand. Beautiful balcony views of Diamond Head and the ocean. Extremely convenient to everything. Private parking available for purchase, and totally worth every penny. Our bed was surprisingly so comfortable, the room was immaculate, and also had a full kitchen of everything you could possibly need. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect place to stay. Right next to the zoo, on the corner of Waikiki, on a major road to get anywhere, and the view from the 10th floor patio is amazing. This is our 2nd time staying here and we will come again. Our Airbnb room was so clean and had everything we needed. The room was small as expected but we had a little lanai, which was nice. We will be back!

Don't believe the nice pictures. Most of the rooms that are very nice looking a person is currently living in them. This is a hotel covered to condos. So depending on the owner (s) . Your given room is unknown. The previous description about going to the 5th floor room was true when we stayed 8.4- 8.14.|Agreed staff should remember that 99% of people coming through are on vacation and looking forward to a happy trip. A simple trip to Ross down the street could update the room a ton.|We got the referral suggestion from Southwest Airlines and have advised them of the condition. It was all pre paid. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! When we arrived we were sent to a hotel room on the fifth floor. The reception for the hotel was inside this room. The lady in the room explained that the hotel sold many of the rooms during covid, so the front desk in the lobby is now just a general reception area for the building and the reception for the hotel is inside this small room along with the storage of towels, cleaning products and other consumables. While I'm addressing that, it should also be noted that there is no housekeeping. If you need fresh towels you can take your dirty/used ones to the fifth floor room yourself and swap them every 2nd day, same with linen should you require it, except only every 4th day (how unprofessional). The lady also tried to charge us an extra 250 dollars, or there abouts, as an additional cleaning fee if we hadn't booked with Grand Hotels, but with some third party company instead. However, we did book directly through Grand Hotels, yet she didn't see a record of that and still tried to charge us anyway. My theory is that, because they don't get cleaners working every day, then the rooms may not be ready to go for a new guest immediately and might be unavailable for an extra day, so they have this "cleaning fee" in place to ensure the room somehow produces revenue. Poor form from this business to try and make that the guest's problem. Another massive red flag was having an arrogant worker as the first point of contact on arrival. This lady really tried to put a positive spin after we entered a store room/front desk area by saying things like "let's get this vacation started" and giving away 1 free mai tai voucher like she didn't just try to charge an extra $250 dollars inside the broom closet... Now, onto the room.. where to start?!?!? Great view that we had from the room on the 6th floor. Too bad the window couldn't be opened, but also terrible that the window wasn't properly sealed, so all the sounds from the road below were heard throughout the day and night. Extremely loud and interfering. Cleanliness of the room was less than not up to standard, that is to say the floor under the bed was black, door and window frames were dusty and gunky, mold in the bathroom and the kitchen dishes and utensils looked like they hadnt been cleaned properly. We also had to empty our own trash and chase up extra bin bags. We ran out of toilet paper at night, so we had to go to the store down the street to buy more. The bed was just a mattress on a wooden board and kept moving/shifting under the weight of anyone getting onto it. The tv would keep freezing/lagging. Water temp in the shower was warm at best and the pressure was so poor that washing hair was impossible - we went to a hairdresser to get hair washed properly (I'll have a review on the hairdresser as they were fantastic - Drybar). The pool was a disappointment. To be honest, we saw it behind the carpark and decided not to use it. It and the rest of the pool area looked uninviting. Again, please do not book this hotel. You're better off paying an extra $50-100 per night at another hotel nearby. Lastly, I had to put 1 star, but I would rate it lower if I could.

Great location, host and the bed was really comfortable. We had everything we needed. It couldn’t have been better. The owner of the apartment was very responsive when we had problems with the refrigerator. He replaced it the same day we told him it wasn’t working. the location is wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay.

great location and staff!|make sure to prereserve parking and it’s not very big so a compact car.|Also the staff was so nice and friendly. the deck had the best views of the sunsets and beach. Right next to honolulu zoo too. make sure to grab coffee from one of the coffee farms and make it in room|the burger place below had the best burgers!!

We had an unpleasant experience with exclusively two members of the front desk staff. I've reached out to the contact given, Mark Howard, and have yet to hear from him after two attempts to reach him (email from my partner, Al Irwin). I have obtained additional contacts and will be composing a letter this week and copying all associated parties on it. We would very much appreciate someone getting in touch with us. All we are seeking is acknowledgment and some sort of follow-up. Had it not been for having stayed there through a stellar Air BnB owner and unit, we would not return. ||In short, it comes down to grossly unprofessional conduct from the younger, shorter stature, seemingly Asian man (Sunday morning receptionist) I apologize for not having a name to provide. He gave us a name of David, but later learned that his name is supposedly not David. Secondly, an employee by the name of Jared took the liberty of parking in our paid- parking spot while we were out. The folks with which we interacted were defensive, not apologetic, and possess a great deficit of customer-service skills. ||We did want to mention that receptionist, Jonathan, was very pleasant to work with, and we enjoyed all interactions with him. He very well represents what I'm sure you all would expect from the staff. Others should strive to emulate him.

Overall a great stay here. The sunrise view over the zoo with the birds chirping is like Paradise! There was a large cockroach in our room, but this is to be expected in the tropics. The rooftop is magical, be sure to check it out. The bar downstairs attracts a rowdy crowd on the sidewalk after midnight, and the pot smoke came up through the window unit air conditioner all the way to the 6th floor. Room 615 is not an ideal layout, with the kitchen being carved out of the bathroom. But the balcony was well designed, with raised chairs so we could see over the railing. Tons of free parking just on the other side of the zoo. Leonard's and the grocery store are super close if you have a car. Maybe a 20 min. walk.
