Super fun! This was our first trip to Wahoo Woods but won't be the last. Tons for kids to explore and do. My 3yr old especially loved the Curiosity Shed (with animal bones, antlers, etc). We searched for frogs and found at least a dozen babies, each smaller than a dime! We took a hike, surrounded by beautiful wildflowers, butterflies, bumble bees, and grasshoppers. Who know what else we missed? We will be back for sure, with a picnic next time!
Amazing. My kids and I loved exploring and climbing. The Curiosity Shed is awesome too.
As a resident of the Carpentersville i went through nthis woods out of curiosity for first time around 15 years back

Never have known this completely until today as i watched the unexplored part of trail hike toda, found thesome place very enjoyable .
So fun! My 2 and 4 year old kids spent 3 hours playing! So great to be able to hang out in the library after, too.
We did find a couple small ticks on the kids afterwards though (June), so be on the lookout
While on my hike I encountered 3 white-tailed bucks checking me out. Awesome experience! Love the setup and felt like a kid walking through the book walk. Very grateful!
This is our favorite place to explore in the area. Lots of fun for children of all ages, and adults, too! Keep an eye out for deer - I have seen them 4 out of 4 visits here. If you hike in the woods, please check for ticks after. There's always a risk and I found one on my son June 1st.
I grew up playing in my own backyard that had woods. My children enjoy the same backyard and woods, but this is a different type of exploration for them. Wahoo Woods is definitely neat with the shed that has bones, shells etc that the little ones can explore and enjoy.
If you live in an urban environment, make the trek here. Kids need to get dirty and explore. We'll be back!
Good, old fashioned, go-play-in-the-woods kinda fun! Logs, large rocks, scraps of rope, and wherever their imagination takes them. There will be scrapes and bruises from the climbing and active play, but this is the best kind of playground there is. They have to work a little to have fun, but their sense of accomplishment is worth it all.

This was such a great place. I go to a lot of Christmas lights. I appreciate that they had a ton of display I have not seen before. When you go a lot they tend to be the same big display at different locations. There were so many I have never seen.
