We LOVED the Wagon Wheel! Right from the beginning, we were welcomed by the kind receptionist who acknowledged it was our anniversary trip. They even left a card and a gift inside! :) The hotel itself is adorable. We had a cabin and the beds were SUPER comfy. The whole place seemed brand new, even smelled so fresh! The room had everything we needed, even a stove. Shower had great water pressure and if you need more shampoo, just fill out a card and hang it on your door and it'll be delivered the following morning. At night, it was so quiet that we heard the crickets! So relaxing. We didn't utilize the pool (it was colder for our stay) but it looked very clean as well. During the summer, there's a free trolley to Old Orchard Beach pier. It comes hourly! Very nice. We also walked to the restaurant next door which was delicious and had great service. Overall, we will be back! Thank you Wagon Wheel for making our stay so special :)
Just need a one night stay in our way north, but Wagon Wheel is waaaaay better than any other one-night motels you’ve stayed in. The effort they put into renovations really paid off: everything was clean, bathroom was bright, beds were comfy. Our room looked just like the pictures with funky wallpaper and accent colors, which really elevates Wagon Wheel above similarly priced alternatives. And the service was incredibly accommodating of our later-than-planned check in. Can’t say enough good things about them!
I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Wagon Wheel Motel! My husband and I stayed here with our baby, and since we are new to traveling as a family of 3 we hope cleanliness, space, and comfort and this motel offered all 3. The rooms seemed to be recently updated, with a mix between modern and retro styles which was unique (I love a fun wallpaper)! The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The location is close to many attractions and necessities, yet setback from the “hustle and bustle” of a busy downtown. The weather was too chilly at the time of our visit to enjoy the pool, but we will definitely be back and plan on relaxing poolside next time!
Our family recently stayed at the Wagon Wheel Motel and couldn’t be happier with our experience there (especially given the price point)! The room was clean and comfortable. The folks who ran it and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful (we are grateful for the local restaurant and kid-friendly activity recommendations when the weather wasn’t great)! They have a trolley that comes right to the hotel and brings you to downtown Old Orchard for $2/person. It was super convenient, and nice to avoid the $40/day parking rates we saw at the beach. And we all loved the pool. :) We will definitely be returning again in the future!
My partner and I stayed in Cabin 5 with our dog for two nights. The cabin was cute and we loved the decor. It’s clear a lot of thought went into the space. Everything was on theme. The pool was small but clean and warm. It is relatively close to essentials (gas station) and we loved the amazing seafood place almost right next door. We spent one day at Old Orchard Beach and one in Portland and felt like it wasn’t too far away from either. This is the first place we’ve stayed on our roadtrip that had a smart TV in the room, which was also great. 10/10 would stay again!
The bed was the best!!! Very comfortable. Close to stores and the beach. The staff were very accommodating. The pool was very clean and hit The spot in the warm Day. I will be recommending this establishment to all my friends. I have stayed here in the past and it's even better now. Thanks Wagon Wheel. It's nice to see that the previous owners daughter is working there. Thanks Narissa
Our cabin was clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable! We didn’t use the pool, but it looked great. Office staff was helpful and friendly. It was a nice perk to be so close to the Eastern Trail. We also didn’t use trolley service to OOB, but love that it was an option. Great place!
My mother (94) and I stayed one night in cabin 9. We were very pleased with the spacious room and walk in shower. While we didn't use the kitchenette it was well appointed, ever having a stove with an oven in addition to the microwave. We were tempted by the trolley to Old Orchard Beach, but our time frame did not allow it. The staff's recommendation to the seafood restaurant ust up the street was super! Will definitely look into staying there when in the area.

This place is the most unique, natural preserve I've ever had the honor of visiting in the United States. This has got to be your number one. Go to a nature spot to visit when you are in Maine. Provided so much information, I had never been to a bo

One of my new favorite local trails. The wetlands are home to a variety of birds. There are also benches to enjoy some lovely views of the wetlands. Very peaceful.
The Saco food pantry provides people of Saco that need the food they provide to make their live less stressful. The local Shaws and Hannaford plus donations from local farmers and gardens are great appreciated. Any support you can provide be it yo

Really lives up to it's name, food was freshly made yet ready exceptionally quick, a large order for 4 was ready in under 3 minutes. The food has a classic small town feel to it; I recommend going with the steamed dogs and a side of fries. For drinks
