Years ago this place was wonderful but not now. Strong smoke smell in the room, overlaid by a chemical smell. The king-sized bed had a big caved-in section on one side. The blanket was filthy and had burn holes in it. The bathroom knob wasn't working properly. And we were charged $150 each night for Thursday and Friday.
The rooms were very clean and quiet, which I enjoyed very much. It was a little cold at times, but that's my only complaint if you even want to call it that. It was peaceful and quiet and I actually got to relax. I would stay there again when I'm back in town.
Clean, efficient, simple room with refrigerator, coffee. Close to Tanglewood, Lenox, Stockbridge and Pittsfield. Hotel owner very accommodating. Good location across from Kohl's shopping center with Marshall's a supermarket and Verizon store.
Positive: "" Negative: Too small a room. There was a chair, wedged against the wall, with its back against the dresser and pressed against the "desk" bolted to the wall so that it was impossible to use the chair. We lifted chair onto the bed so we could reach wall outlet.
Needs a lot of TLC. My room had a smell of mold, and I think it was coming from the bathroom. I had been to Wagon Wheel 40 years ago when I was visiting Tanglewood and it was a pleasant and clean room on a not-busy highway on the Lee/Pittsfield border. In the today of 2024, it has deteriorated in quality and needs some serious cleaning and updating. It's location if fabulous if you want to be close to big box stores and groceries and Lenox and all that the geographical area offers. That's it's MAIN benefit. But do be prepared for some unsavory smells and alot of dust in the room. Not for the allergic person.
A.C. works, T.V. works, there is no phone in any of the rooms, which I see as a safety hazard. I had to check it by clicking on a ring device and was told nobody is available to take my payment at this time, so I had to call a few more times until they had someone come out and get me a room. The price was cheap, but you do get what you pay for.
Unfortunately I did not read the reviews prior to booking.|The room reeked of cigarette smoke. When I complained, they said it was some sort of cleaner that smelled so bad. Ended up sleeping in the car because they claimed there were no other rooms available.
Positive: Location. It was adequate. Negative: The hair dryer was broken. The clock on the microwave was broken.
We visited on a chilly, overcast, fall afternoon & only saw 2 other people on the paths. The chipmunks were playing and chirping as we wandered nearby. The trails are exceptionally well cared for & marked clearly. It's definitely a place I'll visi
An absolutely stunning place. If you're looking for a tranquil, visually inspiring site, this place is for you. You don't have to tour the house itself (which costs around $20) and can visit the beautiful grounds for free. The grounds include a seren
Felt compelled to write since the reviews on here are a bit mixed, which truly shocks me. Wheatleigh is exquisite. We were immediately greeted by name upon arrival, escorted promptly to our suite, and given a brief and excellent tour of the property.
I'm not sure how I can even describe in words the way we feel about Stonover. Starting with Randy and Christine who are the most incredible hosts and just a joy to be around, they made us feel right at home when we arrived to kick off our wedding wee
