Waffle House - Breakfast restaurant in Forest - 17678 Forest Rd, USA

We were very concerned because the girl who waited on us was also the cook and she was left alone all evening from around 11:00 pm until (from a conversation we overheard) about 5:00 a.m. This is much too dangerous, esp for a young lady to be there by herself at that time of night. Apparently someone canceled, but the manager should have taken the initiative to be there with her or Closed (and still paid her since she was willing to be there) until someone else could be there with her.

Staff was attentive and friendly. Service was quick. Patty melt turned out a little dry, but nothing to dissuade me from eating it. Overall a solid choice of food when you get those late night cravings.

I went here a few weeks ago and the food was good, as was the service. I ordered almost the EXACT SAME ORDER minus 1 item and it was perfect. That's the only reason I'm giving 3 starts instead of the 1 star I feel it deserves for last night. The waitress was very curt and a lot of my order was jacked up. My Texas cheesesteak was wrong. I asked for mushrooms and they gave me jalapeños instead. The eggs on my sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits were burnt and the bread was hard. I asked for crispy hashbrowns then made sure to correct it to crunchy and told her twice, NOT BURNT, because I know they'll burn them. They were dark brown and rock-hard. The didn't have a lid for my grits so they used a cup lid. That would have been fine but it was sticking up halfway open when she tried to put it in the bag. I had to ask her multiple times for aluminum foil so it would spill. The grits were so dry it was like a ball. When she FINALLY gave me the aluminum, she snatched it from the holder and ripped it almost completely in half and still handed it to me. Awful experience. The only things that were good were the scrambled eggs, the bacon, and waffle.

I often visit this location when I am getting my oil changed next door. Always had great service, and food was decent. Stopped in and went to sit at the same booth that I always have sat at. The server (Belle) asked if I was planning on sitting there as she was cleaning the table, and I confirmed. She said that if I was by myself I would have to sit at the high top chairs, because the booth was reserved for two or more guests. I had some stuff that I was planning on reading while I was there. I asked if I bought two meals could I sit there and she said no. I asked why, and her response was that if a family of four came in, then they would have to wait. Now, as far as I understand in America, if you arrive at a restaurant and all of the tables are full, then the typical process is that you wait until a table is available. I'm confused as to how they are turning away business that is in the restaurant for that of someone who may possibly come in. Also, there is no consideration for someone who may not be able to climb into the high top chairs. If I have items to read while im waiting there is not enough room to sit beside someone else and be comfortable. Above all else as the customer, if I want to sit at a booth and not at the bar this should be my choice. I just told her to have a nice day and I left. I likely won't be back. When I returned to the store next door, they laughed and said that they often have customers come back and not eat because of how the staff treat them.

Where to start! If you try to come to this location for a meal or just a cup of coffee my suggestion is this : do not come between the hours of midnight-6am Tues-Fri! And here's why : for starters they lock the door and say they're closed, when clearly that's a bold face lie. Yet they have 3 creepy young men between the ages of 22-27 inside just hanging around doing nothing. Or you'll see them doing the cleaning, while the 2 employees working are sitting on their cellphones. Yet keep in mind, they're closed. And then there's this reason : the employees and the 3 creepy young men talk trash to each other complain about their sad lives, and scream and yell. This place should be called "Drama House" I mean no wonder over the years WH has been getting bad reviews. All I know is this, if your not in their group don't expect to be served or treated nicely. And if it's coffee you want and good food... your better off going to Denny's, at least you'll have more to choose from, no Drama, No creepy young men, and you'll been able to have coffee fresh and peace & quiet. My advice is to steer clear of this location!

Great food! My wife and I eat here all the time and its everything you would expect from a waffle house, which for us is good

Excellent hash browns mine with onions 🧅 his without along with a Texas cheese steak melt, Arnold Palmer for both. Everything was good until other kids began walking on seats 💺 when finished their meals. Mine l👀ked but remained seated 🪑
