Waffle House - Breakfast restaurant in Montgomery - 8075 Vaughn Rd, USA

I can say that this particular visit at this location has deeply scarred the great repor't and high esteem once held for WH. I usually order the same thing and it's breakfast food, how hard could it be to prepare? Literally I was there a week ago in the daytime and the food was delicious. But last night. No freaking way. We ordered 2 entree meals 2 waffles and 2 bowls of grits. My friend's steak and chilli hash brown bowl was such a disappointment for him. They made him wait an extra 20 minutes to prepare the chili, yet when we got home there was no chilli. To make matters worse as I'm going through the bag, there was a strong syrup smell and unusual stickiness to my surprise one of the syrup packs in the bag was already opened when the order was expedited. SMH so I had to wipe down all of the other condiments and utensils and food containers in the bottom of the bag... You know I'm so frustrated at that point. So I kind of was not hungry anymore plus that was allot of work. I decided to eat a portion and thought I can save the rest for breakfast in the morning, OMG forget the fact that my hash browns have burned to char diced onions in them, and the fact that my toast isn't toasted. Ladies and Gents, why was there a piece of someone's hair sealed in the rim lid of the grits? I was done, completely. I'm not one to take light to hair being any where near food, stove, fridge no where in the kitchen not even at the kitchen table " no. " 😣 If you visit this location please be cautious of what you're eating and know theres a greater certainty of a good visit in the daytime verses the "idk what is going on" in the night.

We moved into the Montgomery, Sturbridge sub division 24 years ago and Waffle house moved in a short time later, although we never visited until two weeks ago! As my wife and I like the "Diner Atmosphere" we were fairly pleased with our first visit and the food was well prepared so we returned last night 2/3/24 at 6:04 pm. CHK 61916. We were the only patrons in there for our entire meal , which I should have returned. My wife's grilled cheese was soggy/greasy/cool on the outside and unmelted/hard cheese on the inside. My toast was cold and not toasted, sausage was cool and black, obviously a "carry over" from lunch, over easy eggs were cool and runny and the hash browns were cold and not brown! Prior to food we had to call server over to clean sticky table! This was unacceptable and we should have returned both meal's! After 24 years and only two visits, I think we have had it with the waffle House!

Really? I walk in and they say their not taking orders because of shift change? As they are all sitting there on their phones?.... what has happened to the service industry ? Not the one I grew up working in

As long as you are familiar with waffle house and other typical greasy spoon diners then concessions are made in the reviews. It's a little dirty, the employees are a little preoccupied but the food comes out quick and made to order. Far better portions than IHOP and, even though prices never seen to be the same twice, they are affordable.

Server was very kind. I given tip for 25%.

We went there tonight 10/15/23 to get a to go order and was told they weren't taking any orders until after 9pm do to shift change. Waited until 9 to go back in and was told they aren't sure when they can start taking orders. There were two ladies sitting down waiting for their order to be taken and they were told the same thing completely ruined our night over them not wanting to work passed their shift I'm guessing. There were four people in there working but instead of actually working they were just goofing off and counting money . Absolutely not acceptable. I would like to speak to someone in charge because im assuming they weren't there (hopefully they weren't)

ONLY come here if you plan to eat inside. They charge you a 10% takeout fee and another 10% service fee if you get to go. Staff is great just only plan to dine in to save yourself money.

Guests eating and they cleaning there ceiling, air ventilator top of customers and top of kitchen, really!!! They dont care about customers!! Can't believe this!!! As everyone knows when you clean your air ventilator and open ceiling tiles how much dust is fly in the air! I have video what they did.
