Waffle House - Breakfast restaurant in Avon - 9221 E US Hwy 36, USA

This cook is extremely rude to everybody she works with!!! We had a wonderful meal and great service from our server until the 9:00pm shift came in. This lady walked in with an attitude and hatred towards everyone that came into her path. A few weeks ago when coming in she was screaming at her co worker about how many slices of cheese someone wanted because they asked for extra and she “must charge per piece”.. understandable but there are customers there who can hear you screaming at your co worker over something so simple. And then last night there is a very nice gentleman washing his hands to get ready to head to the cook top and he is making small talk with us as we were asking him questions and she is Screaming at him to stop talking to us and get to the cook top “NOW”. This man had just gotten into work and was washing his hands.. he isn’t allowed to talk to people at all apparently! Someone needs to talk to her about what customer service is! There was like 2 people in the entire restaurant they were not busy! I have worked in customer service for years and can tell you this is not how you do it. She is nasty and hateful towards everyone there and needs a good talk on how to act when you’re in customer service. If you don’t want to be in customer service or don’t know how to act around people who are your co workers and customers.. please get a new job. That’s all I have. Thanks.

Waffle House is a one of a kind place. It is not meant to be a high end dining experience. But you will get good food and it serves it well. You may meet interesting people. A few months ago I met an old school couple who sat next to me at the counter. They were celebrating their 60th Anniversary and had never eaten in a Waffle House in their entire life.

This is just like any other Waffle House but I did want to say we had exceptional service during our recent visit. Our server was Joshua, he was friendly and he kept our drinks full, he didn’t forget our special requests. The food at Waffle House has always tasted the same and been a decent and affordable option for a quick breakfast/lunch/dinner. I forgot to take pictures of all of our food, because we were too busy eating.

It's a diner so it's not really a 5 star atmosphere but the yelling of orders and signature slang for your order makes it outstanding and fun. Especially when it's a full house. That just turns up the fun for everyone. The food is great! Waffles of course are their thing, I perfer mine crispy so I ask for that other wise the waffle is a little on the softer side, eggs are great whether you want them smothered, smacked, stuffed or plain, the options are endless. Their bacon and ribeyes are to me better than a 5 star steak house. 😋 worth the drive every time.

8/26/23 Sat. afternoon - My first time here. Excellant friendly waitress. (I think her name is Meghan.) Excellant food. I got a ham & cheese omelet and it was fluffy & delicious. Compliments to the chef. The atmosphere was good & the restaurant was clean. They have both a breakfast & dinner menu you can order from. We will definately be back. 😀

Today my wife and I decided it was a great day to go here for breakfast and I must say it was terrible at its finest. First, it took 15 minutes for anyone to greet us once we say down. Everyone 2 ( ladies and the cook with glasses ) who was behind the counter walked past us like we weren't there. We were only assisted once we had to chase someone down. Mind you, it wasn't packed at all. It was pretty bare. The funny thing is that the older gentleman Jeffery States that he was busy and that they we busy and the funny thing is that the younger kids at the higher bar laughed and repeated what was stated knowing that it's utter lies. I ordered an all-star special and my wife a waffle. She asked for a waffle cooked well as when I tell you the waffle was the same consistency as burnt toast and when I was asked to be remade the gentleman Jeffery said “ I will reset the timer but I will not take it off your bill because of YOUR HASSEL.” When did getting something cook correctly become a problem in a restaurant? I would tell you to shy far away from this place if you want waggle house as to this one will not take your time and money into account. Post edit. Jeffery is not wearing gloves when preparing food as your sever not a cook. I have to say it seemed to be it was a problem that due to the color of my skin, it was just not the time of the day to be served. As we're heading to 2024 I am hoping that this is not the case and this establishment tightens up and get it together.

I'm a trucker. I go to Waffle Houses all over the United States, and this has got to be one of the best ones. They have the typical food and menus, but the staff here goes above and beyond to make sure that the orders are correct, the food is quick, and that the place is as clean as possible. I've been working right down the road for 5 days and eating here several times a day. I've met all of the staff. Everyone is great here.

We've been here before. The food is good. The server only come by to take our order and give us our food...not to see if we needed anything else or to give us our check. We had to ask for it at the register. There were only 2 girls working that evening. They were both real nice. The place wasn't busy but some of the tables hadn't been cleaned. People started coming in as we were leaving.
