Adorable spot tucked away in the Warehouse District. The entrance is captivating and sweets the tone for the venue. Love the strong light alleyway. Food is creative and seasonal. The appetizers were beautiful and the entrees take the lead on the dining experience. Recommend for a lovely evening with a romantic atmosphere.
New Orleans!! City of 1,000 restaurants! I found one that is a hidden gem and a must try. If you ask me the name…. Id have to say ask them when you go. We were there on a Wednesday Evening and I swear, the only ones in the restaurant! Like they were there just for us. At first I though this is a bad sign right? But after the food arrived, it left me scratching my head thinking people must not know about this place. Everything was perfect. Atmosphere, service and of course the food! Awe the food. I had a stuffed pork chop that I’d swear god himself cooked for me!! I cook a lot and I know pork very easily comes out dry and a bit tough. Maybe it was the cornbread stuffing or maybe they just know what their doing but this chop was over the top! My wife had the Brussels Sprouts and their award winning French Onion Soup. Both were fantastic but me, I’m a meat kinda guy! I can’t even say/spell those veegen, vegetablerian words!! Look them up on their website. They have pics of most of the plates. There were several more I wanted to try but my goodness this chop was huge. If you go to NOLA and you want something more than creole and jambalaya, give this place a try. The streetcar will get you within a couple of blocks from it.
best bread pudding dessert ever! one of the rare places in New Orleans where customer service was actually good.. from the servers to the awesome bartender. food was great, prices are descent and again, bread pudding
The atmosphere and service are exceptional! The execution of the food preparation was lacking, but the menu ideas inspired. The French Onion soup, while not the temperature one would hope, was excellent! I hope this was an off night in the kitchen because the service definitely deserves a second chance!
Vyoone’s is a quaint but upscale dinner restaurant. It is located in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, so parking could be a challenge depending on when you go. My family went for dinner and it was all of our first time dining there. We ordered the Shrimp and Grits, Gumbo, Stuffed Pork chop and the fried Duck. The duck was tender and paired with the sauce perfectly. The shrimp and grits was a bit spicy but good overall. The pork chop and gumbo was also delicious. For the cost of the food I feel as though it could’ve been better and the portions should have more to show for it. That would be my biggest criticism for the food though. Our waitress was a sweet girl but she did not have much knowledge about the food on the menu or how it was prepared. One thing I feel as though could use some improvement is the service. Although the staff was friendly, there were moments where our waitress would dart off before we were finished speaking with her to ask another staff member a question. Also, we did not enjoy where we were seated in the court yard. We were seated in the back, which was very dark because the string lights were out. I would like to check out this restaurant for brunch or another time instead of the evening. Another thing to be aware of is the fact that they automatically charge 20% gratuity. I think this concept plays into the French influence of the restaurant. I wouldn’t mind revisiting this restaurant or suggesting it to friends but be prepared to spend a pretty penny.
The Hostess and wait staff were very professional and polite. Everything we ordered was good. It was a great dining experience.
This cute little hole in the wall will make for one of the best New Orleans experiences you’ll find. We got the Salmon appetizer plate, the steak & shrimp plate and the French Kiss margarita! All were delicious! Highly recommend!
Cozy little French restaurant in the warehouse district off of Girod St. We sat in the courtyard outside and had perfect weather. The French Manhattan cocktail was excellent. Appetizers were Ahi Tuna and BBQ Shrimp both were very good. French Onion soup was one of the best I have ever had. Entrees were a burger with truffle fries, chicken dish and a pork chop. All were substantial in portion size and well made. We would go back again. Cocktails - 5 Stars Appetizers - 5 Stars Entrees - 4 Stars Service- 4 Stars Atmosphere- 5 Stars Value - 4 Stars
