Super fun little town and cool history! I wish some of the smaller buildings had lights so you could see inside at night but I'm sure that will come. The Halloween pumpkins are amazing and the puppet show was super fun! Definitely recommend:)
My husband and I were looking for a place to take some interesting and fun photos and decided to make this a destination to stop. It was the perfect place to visit for photos! Some of the buildings were being renovated, so they gave us discounted admission. We spent about 3 hours walking the grounds, taking photos, reading about the site and the different buildings. This is a self guided outdoor walking tour of the abandoned mining town. We went in September and it was a little on the warm side so I recommend visiting during the winter months. The staff was friendly and they sell water bottles in the office in case you arrive unprepared.
Very well done piece of AZ history. This is not an amusement park but a very well put together piece of AZ history. I would recommend visiting at the reasonable cost of 15 dollars. The drive there is beautiful also. Go during the cooler months.
We really enjoyed our visit yesterday! We should have come earlier during the day to have at least more time to explore the place. We were all in a rush because it was getting dark and some of the structures has no lightings. Nevertheless it's a great experience for our kids.
This restored ghost town was a great find. It was way better than I expected. They have obviously taken a lot of time and effort in the restoration and it’s really impressive. I highly recommend checking this place out, well worth a trip from the valley. We were here for the o pumpkin fest and this too was great.
Vulture City Ghost Town is worth the drive. I plan on visiting again for a night guided ghost tour. I love anything history, and my son, who is 9, enjoyed the self-guided tour as well. The tour became more interesting when I turned on the ghost detector app on my phone.
This is an authentic Western ghost town. Featured on multiple paranormal shows. You are not guaranteed to have stuff move or pianos play on their own. It is not a tourist trap that is faked. It is a piece of American history that is being preserved. See what it was like in a pioneer mining town and learn some of AZ history. But it does have it's ghosts so keep your wits about you just in case the spirits are in a playful mood.
We took our grandson to the 9am open slot. They had several pumpkins and photo opportunities for your family. Loved seeing the history of the buildings with the before and after pictures and information of each one of the buildings. Live music and a few food options.
