Vrooman Mansion - Featured Reviews (425)
One of the best places we have ever stayed at, it was amazing and I would highly recommend it. |The Vrooman Mansion has been diligently restored and has been well maintained, everything from the paint to the furniture is period oriented. |The rooms are very nice and we had a wonderful experience at this B&B.
My daughter and I stayed the evening after a concert at the Castle Theatre. The entire mansion is so unique and the history is evident throughout. Our room, Master’s Chamber, was very comfortable with a private bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, ranking in the top two or three restaurant breakfasts I’ve had. I would recommend staying at the Vrooman Mansion to anyone.
The Vrooman Mansion is a beautifully-preserved piece of history, and staying there is like stepping back in time and experiencing the life of a prominent Bloomington family. Each room is unique, with beautiful period furnishings. Each breakfast was a gourmet treat, and the breakfast menu was different each day of our four-day stay. All were delicious and so filling that we did not need lunch. I grew up in Bloomington about a mile from this place and remember being intrigued by the house when I was a child. I try to visit my hometown once a year to see family and friends. This is my second time staying at Vrooman Mansion, and I plan to stay here each time I go home. The staff thinks of every detail, and we are completely comfortable there. I especially love sitting on the side porch, which is cool even on the hottest days.
We stayed overnight at the Vrooman, I had scheduled far in advance, my plans changed near the appointed date and they were very gracious and accommodating in rescheduling me a day later. We arrived and were shown our room which was VERY nice, it is a quick stroll downtown to many fine restaurants and shops. There are snacks (many) laid out for clients, the shower was awesome, the bed very comfortable, the air conditioner worked great! Breakfast was nothing less than gourmet, best I've ever had at a B&B! Highly recommend
This home is one in a million and we would stay again in a heartbeat. The hostess/owner gave us a wonderful tour of the entire mansion and there were several unexpected amenities including snacks, drinks, treats scattered throughout the home, and luxury personal care items such as shampoo and soap. The owners are carefully restoring stained glass windows and staying true to the history. We own an older home and know how much constant care and attention it takes. You will absolutely love this place if you have any interest in historic homes. Also, the breakfast is to die for!!
We found the Vrooman Mansion last year and knew if we were ever in the area again we would stay there. Well, one year later that happened and we decided to stay for 2 nights. We absolutely love it! The staff is incredible, the history abounds, the food is delicious plus plentiful, and the rooms are as comfortable as they are beautiful. We enjoyed walks along the Constitution Trail, many local breweries, and dinners at Epiphany Farms and Rosie’s. Both fantastic! We highly recommend a stay here and are looking forward to another one ourselves.
This is an exceptional old mansion with a separate carriage house. I stay weekly and have been in almost all the guest rooms. They’re all immaculate and the owners are very nice. More homey than a chain hotel. The breakfast is also excellent!
Delightful stay, highly recommend even if you're just traveling through. We arrived late and the owner still took time to give us a tour and answer questions about the house's history. Their hospitality is unmatched and authentic. Breakfast was incredible, with piano music in the background. The grounds were lovely, peaceful, restful. Our room in the Carriage House was comfortable and private. It felt very homey yet still private - a perfect balance.
Went on a whim and was shocked at what a killer operation the owner has going. Beautiful selection of corals and quite decent salt water fish too. Water is crystal clear. Prices are competitive for sure. Level of expertise is high and both gentlem
I have only been training here for 1 month but I can say with confidence that:
1) The instructors are great people who genuinely care about the students.
2) The facility is extremely clean and well maintained.
3) Safety is prioritized.
4) Everyone is
We moved to the area almost a year ago and my son had been wanting to train for jiu jitsu. I reached out to my co-worker, Jim Curran, who is a coach at Midwest Jiu Jitsu and he recommended Frequency Martial Arts. I signed my son up for the Stranger D
I really loved the history of it! Judge Davis had influence and helped president Lincoln! I also learned different information culturally about Christmas decorations and why the Teddy bear was called Teddy bear. It felt warm and nice. Usually mansio
