Very solid Italian spot. Highlight was the pork jowl and wild mushroom pasta. One of the best pastas I’ve had in the US. Crab cakes were delicious. Lobster risotto was ok. Chocolate cake center could’ve been hotter for contrast with the gelato. Drinks were solid and service was solid.
Food is very very good. Pictures are some of the dishes: Oxtail dish 10/10 (the one with wide pasta), mushroom pork dish 7/10 (the one with thin noodles), and Wild Boar 9/10 (the one with veggies). The bread is hard. Location is welcoming and clean. Service is average, the waiter was friendly but whispering, talking very fast, difficult to understand.
I hope the food quality is not a fluke because it's the best fettuccine I've ever had. I got sausage fet and wife got seafood fettuccine. They're just soo good. We couldn't get a reservation so we showed up around 5pm on a Saturday to get table. Got one close to the bar and got happy hour appetizer too. Totally recommend their fettuccine.
Must dine here to have a gastronomical experience of modern Italian cuisine!
Great atmosphere and cozy! Our server was very friendly and explained all the dishes and enjoyed his recommended dishes.
Must try their truffles mushroom polenta, lamb meatballs, and for the entree I had halibut with pesto sauce and asparagus.
Picture doesn’t do the justice of the flavors and texture of the meal!
Dessert: mascarpone lemon custard
Such a delight. Scrumptious food. We had the shrimp fettuccine. Lobster ravioli was a bit well done that it made it chewy but still yummy.
Lobster bisque was the standout.
Service was quick and welcoming.
Delicious food in downtown Kirkland. It wasn't too busy when I went. You might want a reservation .
Everybody enjoyed the food and drinks.
Not the cheapest place but worth the price point.
Street parking was difficult to find. plan on walking 3-4 blocks.
Really enjoyed the experience overall, friendly, helpful staff, amazing food! I asked for my steak rare and they made sure it was to my liking before leaving us to enjoy the meal. I will be back for sure!
Update: Still a great place for food, attentive staff, overall a great experience.
Pretentious...Nestled in downtown Kirkland, open kitchen, white linen tablecloth, large 1 paged menu, and separate specials menu, Yada Yada, Yada. It goes downhill from there yet entertaining.
We came to celebrate a friend's birthday, his choice of venue. We get there, cozy enough of a joint, almost full restaurant, and definitely a full bar.
Our waiter comes by and in a very loud voice. Maybe he's used to senior citizens? Maybe because I have mostly "frosted" hair, as do my dinner guest, announces that he would be taking care of us tonight. He then, for whatever reason, stampers that he's got a " Brain fart." as he forgets his train of thought.
Underwhelmed, we order drinks, and while we're enjoying the company and delicious bread, a patron from the corner of the bar nearest me begins to stumble out.
I initially thought he might have been an ADA individual but, upon further review, realized that he was horribly intoxicated.
I had to press all the way into my table to allow him to pass by. When he brushes by the now deemed "server," he almost fell and had to use a nearby cocktail table to hold himself up.
A very slight female goes to his aid, and as I ask the server, "Shouldn't you go help the individual," he calmly states, "No, she's the manager." Hold the applause...
The manager helps the wretched soul out into frigid, 22 degree night, then comes immediately back in.
The server comments, " Boy! Someone's going to make another $400 night!" We were perplexed. He then explains, "When he 'hurls' in the Uber, the driver will charge the additional fee!"
At that point, I thought perhaps we deserved the additional $400 for him "hurling" this additional unnecessary banter.
The meal arrived, nothing to scream about. Standard fare, overly salted bolonese with a creamy tomato sauce. I should have read the fine print. The birthday guy had the same but gluten free, partner had the lobster risotto, which she enjoyed, and our fourth had the wild boar.
Long winded... What started out to be a great dining experience in celebration of our friends double nickle birthday turned out to be a fun night out enjoying each other's company.
No photos. Who wants to see pictures of creamy tomato blahs? I did think the plating for the wild boar was nice!
Came to Cafe Juanita to celebrate husband's birthday a week early while daughter is in town on Christmas break. This is our favorite place, bar none, and we have been coming for many years since we moved to Kirkland.
Currently they are serving pre fi
My business partner introduced me to this place. Food is excellent! Love their sandwiches. Everything tastes fresh and quality. The staff are very friendly and attentive, highly recommend if you are looking for a great spot in Kirkland.
Finally stepping in as I try to overcome a not so enchanting experience at their Capitol Hill location. The atmosphere here resonated with anticipation, and every detail seemed to tell a story. From the carefully curated decor to the tantalizing arom
Excellent service. Noise level is good. Food is delicious. Prices are reasonable. Wine list could be better but at least they have Italian wine. The bread is delicious. Clean restaurant. Parking can be a challenge but just plan for it.
Iâve signed up for memberships at the big box gyms starting off with enthusiasm and then slowly stop going. I would get bored of my routine and never felt like I knew what I was doing or what I should be working on. Then I joined Danâs gym at F3!
Nice facility with plenty of space for hitting pitching, fielding, and weights.
Thereâs even stuff to do if you decide to stay for a whole practice (pool, ping pong, video games, massage chair)
