Quick, pleasant visit to the Knoxville Visitors Center. Nice gift shop and many pamphlets on local attractions and whatnot. Hosted by a lovely woman. There is a small stage where they have a live radio broadcast at noon most days! I think I'll check it out!
This is a MUST noontime M-Th and Sat stop if you're visiting downtown Knoxville. At the corner of Gay St and Summit Hill, the Visitor's Center offers a place to sit and enjoy LIVE on WDVX BLUE PLATE SPECIAL 89.9 radio broadcasting, with Red Hickey hosting. Sometimes two bands, and this day one. Amy Ray and her most excellent band moved us and grooved us for an hour. Red will walk you thru how to be live on the radio. Enjoy!
Probably the coolest visitors center that I've ever come across. There was live music as we were walking in, with multiple singers. Stop by the gift shop to pick up all your Knoxville merch. And don't forget to put a pin in one of their amazing world maps to show everyone where you've been!
They have live music, food, drinks, information. It's really awesome in here only downside is parking which is under construction. Good place to figure out what's going on in Knoxville
After searching for a Knoxville postcard I decided to call the Visitors Center. I was asked to send a postcard to a nephew in Dallas, Texas to report a citing of the Gingerbread Man- a kindergarten class project. Relatives were asked to send postcards from all over the world to share the different locations of where the Gingerbread Man had been seen. I had the most pleasant experience!! The Director of the Visitors Center, Monica went above and beyond to help me!! She helped me choose the perfect card, and personally wrote my card from my dictation and placed it in the mail for me!! I was not able to get to the center before the deadline and Monica made it happen. It’s wonderful to know this type of kindness still exists in our world!! A special, heartfelt THANKS to Monica Armstrong ~ she’s an ideal representative for the city of Knoxville ❤️!!
This is a super great place to stop for information and souvenirs. Very reasonably priced. Friendly staff members!
What a neat visitor center! I think it’s the coolest one I’ve ever been to - with a performance area and a band was about to play! The gift shop had a lot of interesting and quality items. The staff was super friendly and helpful about what to see that’s within walking distance. They had a decent selection of brochures as well. This should be your first stop!
Very informative and the staff was very pleasent. She gave me great ideas of things to do in Knoxville. I really enjoyed the live music.

Anne was a very kind, informative instructor who took time with each of us personally in class. She was very thorough in the instruction and exercises, and she was so encouraging throughout the whole 6-week course!! Highly recommended and am thankful
It was absolutely wonderful finally getting a chance to stop in this place and meet Melanie. This shop has only been open for a few months, but you can tell she pours her soul into every cup of coffee every day. Daily meal specials and all home made,
My cortado was served properly with a glass of sparkling water. Many cafes omit this. I prefer it and will return for that fact alone. I like the interior with functional study/computer space. Itâs intimate and was mostly full, yet appropriately qu
