Virginia Cliffe Inn - Event venue in Glen Allen - 2900 Mountain Rd, USA

Staff were very nice and our original suite was lovely. Except the 3 yr old a/c wasn't working and we spent our first night in 78°. The very nice owners tried to get it fixed the very next day but it couldn't be fixed. Then we were moved to a smaller room, not a suite, without a balcony, and a tiny shower, and without offer of a partial refund. This B&B also serves as a wedding venue so the grounds were quite lovely, but you will definitely hear the band and the guests. It is also located a few blocks from train tracks, with trains going all through the day. It's a beautiful historic home, just be aware it may not turn out to be the quiet getaway you are hoping for.

The Virginia Cliffe Inn was the only venue we toured because as soon as we saw it, we knew it was the one. We were SO right!! The property is absolutely breathtaking and everything couldn't have gone any smoother on our big day. From the moment we toured The Virginia Cliffe Inn to our actual wedding day, the entire team was nothing short of amazing to work with. The property doesn't need a lot of decorations which is exactly what we were going for since the scenery truly speaks for itself! We cannot thank Janice, Amanda, Rachel, and the entire Virginia Cliffe Inn team enough for making our day possible, it was everything I could have imagined and more.

Absolutely love this B&B, what a beautiful home. We were the only guests on the night we arrived and it was wonderful. We are not much on talking to people so the house to ourselves was a lucky break. I absolutely felt at home and enjoyed a cup of coffee early in the morning in the parlor. Breakfast was amazing and with my husband having ptsd we were aloud to sit in the dining room instead of the kitchen. I really do want to thank everyone for helping to make our stay wonderful. We will be back hopefully next year and maybe again we will have an empty house haha.

We got married at the Virginia Cliffe Inn over the weekend, and it was the perfect day. The venue is beautiful, and everything was set up exactly how we asked for it to be. We also loved the coordinator that the Inn assigned us, Rachael with Riverwood Events and Catering. However, we cannot give this venue five starts for a couple of reasons: 1) Renting out this venue for an 8-hour wedding is already expensive, and absolutely everything is an additional charge. We had to pay for the dance floor, the arbor, two extra hours so we had time to set up and break down, and an extra hour after the rehearsal so we could drop things off for the next day. These aren't "hidden fees"; we knew exactly what everything would cost when we signed the contract, but it still seems like they take advantage of the fact that it's your wedding day and a few extra costs won't hurt. 2) They do not let you know whether or not you can use the venue for your rehearsal until a month beforehand because they are waiting to see if someone else will rent it out for another event. We had an amazing day, and we are very happy with the venue itself along with its staff, but we were just disappointed that they seemed to care more about our money than us. This seems like a negative review, but it truly was a beautiful venue and the staff/coordinator made it the perfect day. If we had to do it all over, we would still get married at the Inn.

We highly recommend this lovely Bed and Breakfast located conveniently just outside of Richmond, VA. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights with friends and enjoyed this 1840's circa home. Situated on 6 acres, the grounds are simply beautiful. Breakfast alone was worth the stay.

This is a beautiful place to stay. The service is exceptional, and breakfast was yummy. The grounds are so nice to walk, they even have swans. The only thing I would say is that the showers are a bit small, but that is to be expected in a historical home! I would definitely return if we visit VA again!

Absolutely amazing experience. My husband and I spent our first anniversary here last weekend and it was the perfect getaway. We felt so welcomed. ❤️

This is an absolutely beautiful home, from the swans in the pond, to the wonderfully home like feeling rooms. We felt beyond welcomed here. The amazing home cooked breakfast was some of the best food we have had in a long time, and if you leave the table hungry, it's your own fault. The time spent getting to know the other guests at breakfast and to find out how each of us knew the areas the others were from. We all had a small connection. We will absolutely be back and look forward to bringing friends.
