Viper might be the most underrated roller coaster at Six Flags Great America! Its layout is based on the Coney Island Cyclone and features several drops packed with 'airtime', including a double-down element halfway thru the 1min 45sec ride. It may only be 100ft tall and go a mere 50mph, but at nighttime it feels MUCH faster. Waits are typically 20-30 minutes. The back row is the best!
Viper has some great airtime moments! Some of the turns are not the smoothest but sitting on the right side makes it easier to brace yourself so you don’t get banged up too bad. I was pleasantly surprised how well this coaster runs since it was built in 1995. The station has some cool rustic western theming.
It is time for Viper to have steel added to it. The ride was uncomfortably bumpy and creeks like crazy. A little steel reinforcement will fix the problem and the rebranding could be a cool attraction. The Steel Viper
definitely an underrated ride, i go to it at least once but most of the time 2-3 times every time I visit. the line goes by very quick. its so fun, lengthy ride (some rides are too short that i don't waist my time waiting for them), and seeing the sunset from this coaster is INCREDIBLE. if you haven't given this ride a chance, you should.
My second favorite roller coaster at Great America! A relatively smooth wooden coaster with tons of really good airtime! The ratchet restraint lap bar sits in just the right position, and has a seatbelt you fasten under it.
UNDERRATED I love this ride, it has great air time and while it’s not the BEST wooden coaster it’s definitely a great ride. This is one of the rollercoasters I don’t have any problems with. I haven’t went on it in awhile but next time I go I have to go on it. This ride can be hard to find since it doesn’t stand out much but I can go on this coaster 20 times and not be bored of it. This is one of two coasters I Truly enjoy
The line gets pretty long for this ride but a few times I got lucky and it was just a walk on. It’s a nice classic coaster but very rough! A few times I didn’t have a The best experience on the ride but one time I rode this ride not sure what seat I was in but it was really smooth and enjoyable.
It's wooden, so it's going to be bumpy. But if you can get over that, this ride is fun! I love the stop it does before it drops you! The turns are very fast and it feels like it wants to fly off the track which adds to the experience. I don' t know if it's just me or what, but the track is about twice as long as it seems while waiting in line. Very efficient loading and unloading.
Long live the Eagle!! This is an absolute GEM of a ride -- the 8th fastest, 9th tallest, and 10th longest wooden roller coaster in the world -- and it's been going strong at the back of Six Flags since 1981. It's a twin tracked coaster, and sometimes
My son loves Bushido! He has learned a lot in his 6 mos. He is motivated to hold himself accountable while possessing an honorable character. The instructors are wonderful models for the children and they get to participate in fun and culturally enga
