This B&B is by far one of the best I have experienced.||The B&B itself is a beautifully historic home with elegant, period-appropriate furnishings that provide a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Our room was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed and luxurious linens that ensured a restful night’s sleep. A fantastic 3 day stay at Violet Hill Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the Arthur Cobble room, though all the rooms look wonderful, each with its own unique flair. House is very clean, bed extremely comfortable. Located right on the Cane, with a wonderful deck at water level to sit, enjoy some wine and listen to the quiet or cicadas in the evening. Zeffie is a wonderful hostess that makes terrific breakfasts and has great stories to tell. This is a must stay place if you want to experience the charm of Natchitoches.
Violet Hill is a very quaint B&B on the banks of the Cane River. It has convenient on-site parking. Our room was spacious. The house was quiet. It was a short, easy walk to the shops and restaurants on Front Street. The breakfast was homemade and delicious. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Violet Hill has a very serene setting as it backs up to the Cane River that runs through Natchitoches. Has a covered dock where you can sit and just enjoy the beautiful setting. Within walking distance of downtown with it restaurants and some shopping.|Effie prepared a delicious breakfast each day we were there.
A perfect 2 days away in a beautiful home right on the River! Our room was spacious with a large bathroom containing shower and clawfoot tub. Large back porch where we met other guests and enjoyed the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was top notch each morning. Highly recommend!!
We are going back again. Fabulous river view with walkway and deck on water. I am sure you can fish. The building is beautiful, the room was perfect, and the breakfast was 5 star. Close to downtown. Wonderful front and back porches. The lady that cooks and cleans is an angel. She takes your credit card which is easy.

On peut se reposer et visiter la ville à pied ou prendre un verre sur la terrasse, au bord de l'eau, à la tombée de la nuit ...|Chambre et demeure très confortable, très bien meublée, mini bar à disposition dans l'entrée, le jacuzzi dans la salle de bain fût très apprécié au retour de notre ballade.|Le petit-déjeuner est exceptionnel. La première nuit, un accident ayant coupé l’électricité dans la rue, nous avons été dirigé vers un autre B&B (Judge Porter House) pour un petit-déjeuner "délocalisé" préparé sur place par notre hôte très sympathique, ce qui nous a fait découvrir un autre établissement du même style.|Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour cette maison pleine de charme, très bien tenue, nous reviendrons !
There is a lot of attention to detail at Violet Hill. The home is spotless and the porches have well-maintained furniture with lovely views. I was solo the first day and had the treat of extra time with Zeffie, the innkeeper and wonderful cook for breakfast. She tells stories, takes care of everyone, and cooks a delicious breakfast. Meeting her was one of the best parts of the stay. Natchitoches was a really great town to explore on my first solo travel trip!

The stay here was excellent! Rooms were very comfortable and clean and Kelly (the innkeeper) made our stay much more enjoyable. She greeted us every morning with a smile and portrayed a very pleasant atmosphere.
