Innamoratissimo! The city’s definitive hole in the wall cafe downtown, under what was the old Bike World / Two Wheel Travel on Kellogg and Main. Great aesthetic, not too big nor too small. NOT wheelchair accessible due to the almost microscopic stairway into the place. Menu features all of the staples of a drinks-only cafe, including unique lattes and dozens of flavors for Italian sodas. The place can be packed one minute and empty the next, so plan accordingly. The staff are great and knowledgeable about their products.
Friendly, fun and AMAZING coffee. We had Milli Vanilli and a custom drink that tasted like cinnamon toast crunch. The best coffee we have had in a very long time. Go here and nowhere else!
Fun, friendly, full of life! I'm coming here after a long time and the shop owner gives the same cordial behavior. Also come here if you're into vinyl records.
The Vinyl Cafe is a must visit in Ames. It has a ton of interesting records to flip through and look at. The owner/barista is awesome, friendly and attentive - wish I caught his name. There is some of the most uniquely crafted coffees you'll find here - I had a banana and hazelnut latte that tasted just like a banana. The menu is extensive, so take your pick. They have free wifi and power outlets for those wishing to study or get work done. Great hangout spot. Fantastic background music. Highly recommend!
The true hidden gem of Ames. A perfect experience every time. The only things that match the quality of their coffee, is the distinct atmosphere of the café, and of course, the grand dukes of drink staff themselves. Stop in, peruse the record collection, relax at a table for a while, and take your mind off things a while.
My drink tastes absolutely amazing. I was welcome and greeted almost immediately. Obviously the atmosphere is retro and super cool! I found my new coffee place😍
This is my favorite coffee shop in Ames. The coffees are great. I enjoy the white mochas with either raspberry or blackberry. The vibe is also nice.

I always order the same beef chow fun, but unfortunately the portion in my takeout was less than usual today (I was too hungry to take a photo though). Fanny contacted me and said they will improve the process, making sure the portion and taste are
