Having resided in these apartments for two years, I've observed a shift in management and a noticeable decline in the overall environment since our initial lease. During the first year, the exterior was consistently well-maintained, with a functional sprinkler system, creating a beautiful setting. However, with the recent staff changes, it feels like the place is now being micromanaged, resembling a college apartment rather than a residence for adults. Maintenance issues, such as unchanged filters, thin walls and floors, expired lightbulbs, and neglected carpets, persist, and the cleanliness of breezeways is overlooked until complaints are made. I would advise considering alternative living arrangements after the first year, as the current trajectory indicates a decline in quality. This marks my final year residing in these apartments.

Today I went to visit these apartments and they are really beautiful, I recommend them. The girl who gave us the tour of the set was very kind to us. She showed us every corner of the place. Go yourself and you will see it.

I had a wonderful tour with Tyne today. She was knowledgeable and kind. The place is well-maintained, quiet, and staff was accommodating.

ETA: We are moving out next month, so just an update on our time here at VBS: 1 - the regular maintenance men here are fantastic, truly. They get stuff done so quickly, they are polite, friendly, and when they come in and there's an issue they are genuinely looking at long term real fixes and not just putting a bandaid on it like a lot of places. My only complaint is we had inspections recently & they said we needed bulbs in the bathroom, and apparently maintenance came back today to do it but we were never notified - so they just knocked a few times and by the time I got to the door someone was already opening our door coming into our home. 2 - We had absolutely awful upstairs neighbors for almost our whole year, but I do also think the floors are very thin because we hear absolutely everything upstairs. When our awful neighbors were here, it was so bad it would shake the photos on our walls. Since they moved out, we don't hear as much but if someone is up there, we definitely hear it. I would not really recommend a second floor unit for this purpose, and definitely go for a third floor unit if you're able to find one! 3 - the package room is really helpful if you have valuable items delivering and they will sign for it, but also a massive pain if you have more than one or two items or have something large to carry. I have deliver to my door on all my packages, but they never do, it's always taken to the mail room. (I opened the boxes to mine this week in the clubhouse because I was trying to consolidate boxes to make it something I could carry and broke down the boxes and put them in the trash and when we got up this morning, the boxes had been taken out of the clubhouse trash and placed at our front door which felt extremely passive aggressive - so I'd make a plan for picking up your packages if you have more than a couple, bringing someone to help, or bags.) 4 - This community feels very nice and safe. As with anywhere, lock your doors, lock your cars, but I felt a lot safer here than at other places I've lived. 5 - Take advantage of the car wash. You just scan your key fob and the machines will work, and you can do a full wash, wax, and vacuum your car out! Its busier on super nice days, but it's pretty easy to get time at the car wash area! 7/2022: Our experience with Vintage at Burkitt has been nothing but fantastic! I am local & my best friend is relocating here from California. Lexi in leasing couldn’t have made this any easier on both of us, making the stress of moving much smoother. We chose these apartments because we love the units - the hardwood floors, the kitchen, the open sunroom making it even bigger and allowing us to both work from home so easily. But the community itself is fantastic too. A few days in, it’s so quiet and calm here. They take things like pet waste seriously (which is nice since we’ve lived in many places before that did not!), and stuff like the pool is done in a way that only guests of residents can be in it and not random people sneaking in regularly. We really love our place and hope we are here for awhile!!!

These apartments were the absolute best that I've ever lived in (and I've lived in very many). I miss staying there so much. Staff was great, neighbors were polite and quiet, & maintenance was also pretty good as well and it felt extremely safe staying there, not to mention the huge floor plans for the price. One of a kind..5 stars!

I’ve lived here for over a year. It’s a safe complex and pretty quiet. Pricing is decent. Maintenance is very responsive. Apartments are new and have a modern style. For the past maybe 2-3 months, the water has been turned off at least 5 times randomly and I’m getting sick of it. It’s extremely inconvenient. Aside from the water, I’ve only ever had one other issue with the complex and its lack of communication. I moved in with 2 dogs and made that aware. I was told how much the fees and everything would be. There were a bunch of fees for moving in but one way or another, it was overlooked that only one of my dogs’ fees had been paid for. As I said, I paid a lot of different fees to move in so I didn’t even think about it. 4 months later, they threw in the $350 on my rent. Of course I paid it because it was owed, but I did not appreciate having $350 added unto my bill with 0 communication beforehand. I called and was told that they had forgotten to charge for my second dog months prior. Fine. But to me, it would have been more professional to send a message saying they realized they hadn’t charged for my second dog and the following month, I will have to pay the money. Not just throw the fee on my rent out of the blue because of your oversight. It’s not like I hid the dog. I actually brought both dogs to the office to be swabbed when moving in. Parking is also horrible. Either a bunch of people have too many roommates or the apartment did not consider the number of residents per building. If you get home late, trust and believe there will be no parking spaces anywhere near your building. I assume that’s why they didn’t offer assigned parking because they know there aren’t enough parking spaces for the residents. Finally, this is less of a complaint and more of an observation: if you have a smaller dog, be careful using the dog park or leaving your dog on patio. My dog has escaped through the wide bars at the dog park many times and has gotten through my patio bars as well. Edit: I just read another review about the walls being thin and it reminded me: YES. I know my upstairs neighbor and she is as sweet as can be but I can hear her every time she moves, slides a chair, etc. You can hear everything from above and on the sides of you. My next for neighbor was talking loud one evening and I could hear their muffled voice through the wall while in the kitchen.

I have really enjoyed living in this apartment complex! The staff is amazing, and they are always willing to help you. The complex is peaceful, and also very close to a dollar general and the interstate which is really convenient. The dog park, the car wash, and the 24/7 open clubhouse is amazing as well. The staff also does monthly events in the clubhouse to try to bond with the residents which is great. I highly recommend living here. It has been a great experience for me and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it!
