Vinsetta Garage - Bar & grill in Berkley - 27799 Woodward Ave, USA

The atmosphere is pretty cool (retro) but also loud because it is a converted garage. I will say that is somewhat to be expected. The service was good and the staff is very friendly. The main reason I give it a 3 (but essentially a 3.75) overall is the disappointing burger. I, we, were told that they're known for their burgers...based on my experience I would stop recommending them. The Vinsetta burger is loaded but the actual burger patty didn't even cover the bun, it wasn't much bigger than a random fast food burger. The bacon was hard and overcooked. My sesame bun was also somewhat dry. The cost, $13.50, isn't justified. The homemade kettle chips, that it's served with, were outstanding. I felt they were baked just right and not too salty. The place is worth a visit, I'll probably be back but not for a burger.

Always a good time at Vinsetta. Tried the burger pizza this time around and it was fantastic. Cheese curds are one of my favourites as well - super think batter and delicious dipping sauce. Food is always fresh and delicious.

The brown sugar glazed salmon tasted so good! It’s a little bit raw in the middle so it tasted very tender. Wish the portion was a little bit bigger for the price that I paid. Their seasonal vegetable garlic green beans were so soft and had great garlic flavor. The environment was pretty laid back and the coin ground in the bathroom was pretty unique. It’s definitely a go-to place for people to have their first dates, coworkers to relax after work, and families with kids for dinner.

Good local spot with a large outdoor seating area. In the summer time when the weather is right they’ll open the garage door. Hence the name Vinsettas Garage is fitting. On this occasion we had the Vinsetta burger and the house salad with salmon.

The food: My sandwich was delicious, I won't deny that and it had a bigger than anticipated size. Taste wise it was great! Someone in my party switched Chips for onion rings and he wasn't notified about the extra cost until when the bill came, it's a nice attention when they let you know ahead. The staff: They were all polite and respectful, however they took a long time until we got our orders taken, however they were very attentive after that. The downside: We call in advance and made reservation for 10+ people as we were celebrating a birthday therefore the expectation is that we'll be all accommodated in the same table (either a really big table or join a couple that would fit all of us)... Well they had us split 😒 even when they had enough space they wouldn't accommodate their tables for us and we were not notified that the Mac party per table is 8 people... That was true from my perspective and NOT what we were expecting 👎🏼

We shared a Caesar salad and a couple specialty pizzas. The pizza was delicious! However, the Caesar salad dressing was quite bland, like it had been watered down maybe. Our waitress was amazing though and staff very friendly overall especially given how busy it was. Would absolutely recommend for family dining, a celebration or date night!

This was my first visit here. I had a wood fired pizza with caramelized onion, roasted red peppers, and pepperoni. It was so good! The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. The inside is eclectic and cozy. I had a cosmopolitan that was one of the best I've had to date. Great place.

We used to love this place so much, but today was a different experience. They let us know that pizzas were not available today because they were short staffed. Disappointing but not the end of the world because we typically get burgers when we come. The burgers we got today have gone down in quality significantly from our last visit over the summer. First of all they are half the size they used to be and the price doesn’t really reflect that. Secondly they were so over cooked and bordered on burnt, but I imagine getting anything other than an overcooked patty is impossible when they are so incredibly thin. The burger was basically all bun. I’m not sure we will come back again given the quality of the food and how it’s declined.
