Village Tavern - American restaurant in Greensboro - 1903 Westridge Rd, USA

I really expected kind of an ale house feel, from Village Tavern. Then they blew me away. They have some of the best starters, hands down. This is my second visit because the first was just so good a week ago. We’ve now sampled from the steak to the burger to the chicken to the tacos, and did a family style split of desserts. There has yet to be a disappointing dish even a dozen plus plates in. 5 stars across the board from service, to taste, to portions, to atmosphere. Stop considering, and just come jump into one of the most pleasant surprises of Greensboro.

Beautiful atmosphere for a dinner with our family. Everybody enjoyed their entrees and the service was acceptable. This is one of our daughter's favorite places to eat out.

I had another wonderful late lunch at Village Tavern! You can order from the lunch menu until 4 pm. I ordered the crab cake entree again, as they have the best crab that I know of. They are made of delicious lump crab meat, just the right amount of seasonings, and just enough filler to hold the it together. For my sides, I ordered asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Both were excellent. My husband ordered the teriyaki chicken entree. He said “it was ok”. He said it would have been better with more sauce, and that the rice that came with it was very bland. Service was good as usual. Ambiance was excellent.

Came here for a client dinner Wednesdays are 1/2 off wine Wednesdays the service and quality of the food coupled with the speed of of the kitchen really sets this place apart from most other stand alone restaurants we ordered quite a few apps crab dip was 10/10 bacon scallops were 10/10 10B scallops the sushi was 10/10 delicious I had the best shrimp n grits I ever had and the other people in the party ordered steaks salads and tacos this place is tops in all aspects I would highly recommend checking it out and have fun additionally they have two Malbec choices which is my favorite wine and most if at all only have one!

Incredible lunch today on a surprisingly busy early Thursday afternoon though our 2 party sat at the bar and was seen for drink orders within minutes. The food was outstanding- we had the hot crab dip for starters and then the Thai chicken salad for myself and my partner got the filet mignon mid rare with classic veg sides. For the quality of the food I would say the pricing is very reasonable. Our bartender was very polite and attentive and handled us along with several other clientele with the practiced ease of a professional. Between beers, appetizer and two entrees or was certainly a meal I'd consider "special occasion" price but the food was truly outstanding and we will definitely return for another visit!

Had the spaghetti squash dish and it was excellent. Recommend this for any vegetarians. Really tasty and a large serving. This place gets busy, so make reservations for dinner.

Delicious food at reasonable price. The service was good. The ambience was nice. They brought a free dessert for a birthday in our group. We were 5 people and it costed us $142 plus tips which we felt was pretty reasonable

This was a great place to eat. Everything here was delicious. Temperature of the food was at a great temp. My partner e s up having to send her steak back twice because they couldn't get it to well done. She end up switching to a thinner slice steak. Never had calamari made the way they were here sweet and sour slightly crispy.
